So I spent all day cooking but it was worth it! Maybe the best sauce I ever made! I marinated both beef boneless short ribs and pork boneless country style ribs in Italian dressing, Italian seasoning, and olive oil for about 6 hours. I browned meatballs and hot Italian sausage, the braised the marinated meat. I took the meat out and deglazed the pan with butter and red wine, this step is key! I poured in my tomato sauce, mixed, and put the meat back in to slow cook. I added whiskey instead of vodka, it does the same thing when it comes to neutralizing the acidity in tomato sauce.
