There are still popular in Poland! We call them lazy pierogi beceause they are so easy to make. We make them with the fresh white polish cheese. You can it it with powder suger, melted butter and fried very fine crutons.
also works nicely with ricotta. just make sure to squeeze out as much liquid as possible so you dont need to add too much flour.
I bet mixing in a bit of potato into this recipe would make them incredible
