Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris are the same grape variety. But: they do not always taste like the same wine.

In northern Italy, Pinot Grigio is usually made in a light, crisp, dry style: fresh citrus, green fruit, simple structure, and made to drink young.

In Alsace, Pinot Gris often shows a completely different side: riper fruit, more body, richer texture, and sometimes off-dry or sweet styles with the ability to age.

This is not just a name difference.
It is a style difference shaped by climate, ripeness, and regional tradition.

That is why we created our infographic cards — to help you see these connections clearly instead of trying to memorize everything.
