I need to try that macaroni lasagna
As soon as you mentioned it's called pastisio, I remembered I'd had that.
No idea where to find the recipe, but I'm sure it used elbow pasta.
For the dumpling lasagna I suggest adding finely shredded Napa cabbage on the bottom and middle and adding half cup of chicken stock and minced shiitake mushrooms to the meat mixture it ends up like a soup dumpling taste
Needs a thicker bechamel on top. But yeah, pastitsio is fire.
This is the second video I've watched today with the dumpling thing.
Do you have a premixed container of salt and pepper? I can't decide if that's really smart or takes away too much control over your seasoning…
a lot of the quotes you will find on the internet related to Lasagna in all its forms can be directly or indirectly attributed to our Lasagna loving protagonist, Garfield the Cat
You need fresh herbs on your bakes. Would take it to the next level. Italian lasagna has nothing on good moussaka or pistachio but you need a lot of fresh herbs and lemon in the bechamel. Seem like you added it to the dumpling one.
I was skeptical about the dumpling lasagna but now I have to try it! Wondering if it reheats well?
The dumpling lasagna was the best btw!!!
Loved this video! I think you hit it out of the park with these “lasagnas”! Is there any way you could explain a little more as you’re adding ingredients…slow it down and give a few more details? Nobody would complain about a longer video! It just goes by way too fast and you are one of my favorite creators!❤. Please consider my suggestion.
I actually made a really delicious birria lasagna for a party and everyone ate it like it was running away😭🤭 highly recommend!!
Thought I was spared the Philadelphia Cream Cheese ad, but it snuck in at the end lol
I think this is the LEAST pastizio pastizio I've ever seen. Like, I'm sure it tastes pretty close to the real deal, but it feels like it's missing half the things that make it greek. For pastizio I kind of really want the long maccheroni, just because it's the only dish that warrants their existence. Bucatini are FINE, I guess, but it's not entirely the same. And then, the bechamel without the egg? Nah, sorry, it's what makes greek bechamel special. It's supposed to be custardy.
"Better than Italian Lasagna"?
/pinches fingers menacingly in Defending Nonna's Honor 😠🤌
Thank you very much for this new video 🥰
Love this!
Omg I havent seen a video of yours in years for some reason, I looooove to see you back on my feed

thank you for introducing me to these "viral" recipes. as someone who avoids social media, you've introduced me to so many interesting things over the years
Omg David i need to taste that dumpling lasagna wtf i hate making dumplings so much as well but i loooove them
I haven’t really seen anyone make a larger version of the dumpling lasagna! Only the little individual ones. How long did you end up steaming it for?
Red wine + tomatoes = American ahahah
Ahhhhh. Yes. We’re so back, baby!! 🎉🎉
I used to take a box of Kraft mac & cheese and my meat sauce and make lasagna for my kids. Exactly like that. Sometime around 1990. They thought it was the best thing ever, it was one of their favorites. I'm sure it would be even better with homemade but I was a single Mom. Enjoy the blue box lasagna, kids 😄
I just got a cream cheese ad lol
My financee and I love watching your videos David, thank you for making them!
YESSSS YOURE BACK
I saw a recipe recently for a Gnocchi Lasagna with Spinach, White Beans and Sausage. While the recipe components don't sound bad together, it's not lasagna as it is not a layered dish like a I would expect a lasagna to be. That's what we think of when someone says lasagna: layers.
Anybody fancy some lasagna lol
