A new restaurant concept is bringing together two Columbus food businesses for a unique dining experience at Polaris Fashion Place, according to Columbus Business First.

Flour & Fetty’s, a collaboration between Flour Modern Pasta Bar and Fetty’s Street Food, is expected to open at Polaris Fashion Place this fall.

The new concept will combine Flour’s handmade pasta with Fetty’s Street Food’s global flavours. Its tagline, “Global street food, handmade noodles,” hints at the international influences behind the restaurant.

Flour Modern Pasta Bar opened at Polaris Fashion Place in 2024 and is the creation of chef Yash Kishinchand. Kishinchand and his family also operate Rooh, a modern Indian restaurant in Columbus’ Short North.

Flour & Fetty’s will build on Kishinchand’s approach of combining different culinary techniques and flavours. While Rooh applies that philosophy to Indian cuisine, the new Polaris concept will bring those ideas to Italian food and handmade noodles.

Kishinchand has previously collaborated with chefs and other food concepts. In Chicago, he co-founded Swadesi Café with Michelin-starred chef Sujan Sarkar. He has also incorporated similar collaborative elements into Rooh’s pop-up café, which offers coffee, tea, cocktails and sweet and savoury selections on weekends.

Fetty’s Street Food has operated as a Columbus food truck since 2016, serving dishes inspired by Thai, Indian and South African cuisine.

Its menu has included Thai-style egg rolls, South African samosas, chilli paneer and a variety of curries. The food truck regularly appears at Columbus Commons and local breweries throughout Central Ohio.

The partnership with Flour is expected to give the food truck’s international flavours a permanent home while allowing both businesses to experiment with new dishes.

Additional details about the Flour & Fetty’s menu, exact opening date and restaurant space have not yet been announced.

The new restaurant joins several other recent and upcoming additions at Polaris Fashion Place. The shopping centre recently welcomed Mango Biche Mia, a Colombian-style snack bar, and is also adding a CAVA restaurant on an outparcel along Polaris Parkway.

Another upcoming addition is Simply South, a vegetarian Indian restaurant based in Irving, Texas.

WhatNow Columbus reached out to Flour Modern Pasta Bar and Fetty’s Street Food for additional comment about the new concept but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
