  1. I watched your first video with the top 10. It was very helpful. We got an apartment in the Piazza Trilussa area, to me was great. The scene was vibrant, perfect to experience the Rome culture. Great video as always.

  2. we are traveling to Italy in Sept. of this year and Rome is on our list of destinations to visit, this video and your other videos are so helpful and informative, thank you so much we will be using them to plan our time in Rome.

  3. we have pre-cruise stay for 3 nights at an AirBNB May 2-5 near Termini for 5 adults–great option with 3 bedrooms and easy access to transit. Is it really that bad?

  4. Great video…Great city… 3000+ years of history in one spot… and it's the good CLASSICAL WESTERN HISTORY.

I've been there many times, always saying I'm done with walking around Rome and would rather just go to my Italian hidden destination once landed… BUT, Rome always pulls you back in because in a lifetime you won't see everything.

    Keep going there!

  5. Love this video. Just got back yesterday 4/16/26 from 17 days and we are already talking about coming back in December for a week or so if schedules permit. Weather was great!! Started to rain just after we left. Rome has soo much to offer and for our 5th time we still did not to get to do all we wanted. Did some repeats but still did some new stuff. History/Food/Architecture. The list can go on and on. Took the fast train to Milan and then for a couple of days and own to St. Maritz – Switzerland/Alps. Took the train back to Rome. Overwhelming in Termini and Milan to use at first but easy once you get the hang of it. Thank YOU FOR DOING THESE VIDEOS. I hope we can connect in the future for some YUMMY PIZZA!! Hope the wedding was beautiful. Greetings from Knoxville, Tennessee…

  6. I've been to Rome twice, the first time I stayed in the Prati area, I explored around Vatican City, Prati and Piazza del Popolo areas. The second time I stayed in the San Giovanni area, and had a great stay. That being said, I walk – a lot – I find my favourite way to explore a new city is on foot. I have walked from Castel Sant'Angelo all the way to the Colosseum, across Isola Tiberina and back up to Vatican City in a day. But I have to say I think your ranking of neighbourhoods is pretty accurate, and for most people you are going to want to make sure you are at least close to a metro station. Even walking a lot, i try to make sure there is a station within a 10-15 minute walk of accomodatioins.

  7. LAGOS ARGENTINA or JEWISH GHETTO best to stay in Rome. My favorite hotel is Hotel Chapter Roma. Trastevere is a real tourist trap this day. Real good food go to Testaccio.

  8. We stay in Ludovisi on via Flavia. The mentioned Pinsere pizzeria is on via Flavia as well as 50 Kalo Ciro Salvo pizzeria. Cento via Flavia bar and cafe is excellent for breakfast and aperitivo. There are many bars and restaurants in the via Flavia area. It’s well serviced with supermarkets too.
It’s walking distance from most sights, in fact the only metro we catch is to the Vatican.
Termini is only 10 minutes walk and Barbarini and Republica metro are also close by.
I can’t recommend it highly enough.

  9. What about Via Veneto/Ludovisi? (Is this what you call "Spanish Steps" area?) It looks like it would be very convenient, though perhaps more expensive than some areas. We are only there 3 nights, so OK with that. I do want something nice. It's our first trip to Rome, and at our age may be our last, so want to maximize our time (and energy) and experience.

  10. Do you need cash to pay the Taxis or do they take CC or electronic payment of some sort? Tip?
