I’m so happy to share that we’ve reached 5,000 subscribers. Thank you for being by my side on this journey.

To celebrate, I visited a popular budget Italian restaurant in Japan. With a $20 budget, I was able to enjoy a wonderful meal with wine.

I owe this all to you! Thank you!

  1. Roki congratulations on hitting 5K hope you are doing well and staying safe and healthy and enjoying all the meals you have sending my positive vibes and love to you always

  2. Congrats for your 5K subs! Does Saizeriya have different menus and systems at different branches? The last time I went, they no longer offered paper menus—it was all tablet-based ordering. I don't remember there is escargot in the menu, though I would love to try next time 😋

  3. Dude, what a throwback! I went to Saizeriya in Akihabara 10 years ago when I visited Tokyo. I really liked it, especially the custard/flan japanese style! Congrats on 5k subs! I really enjoy what you do. It makes me happy to see you are enjoying yourself! Hope you have a great spring!

  4. That's funny because I just made some spaghetti for supper with meatballs mixed in. In an hour or so when I go to bed I will have a shot of brandy

  5. The internet says there are over 1000 chains in Japan. Just imagine who much wine gets sold at that place. Is that pretty cheap for a whole bottle of wine there?

  6. OH my! Escargot is so delicious! I haven't had any in years. Your prices are very inexpensive. I'm a little jealous.
I've never heard of pizza with corn before.
I only like green peas straight from the garden. I don't like them cooked.
This was a lot of fun and a feast. Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations on reaching 5k subs! That's amazing.

  7. Congratulations on your 5K milestone! I always feel that escargot are less about eating snails and more about using snails as a vehicle to eat garlic and herb butter! And sopping up that garlic and herb butter with focaccia is always a good move.

  8. Welcome back Roki!!

Oh what a fun celebration this was!! You got so many fun and interesting dishes! I don't really like escargot myself, but I'm so glad you enjoyed it to the fullest!!

Everything was so affordable!! I can't believe the wine was that cheap!! 🫨

Thank you for bringing us along!! May we have many more wonderful celebrations together in the future!! 🥂

See you next time my friend!

  9. Congratulations my friend, you deserved that whole bottle of wine lol! It’s good to see you eating a hearty meal and I hope you have been getting better sleep since visiting the doctor. The prices are so inexpensive and I love how every dish is still uniquely Japanese in some way. Thank you for sharing!

  10. Oh my god – and here I was, while perfectly aware of the concept of fusion cuisine and the fact that most of the "exotic" restaurants around the world rarely serve the actual experience of eating from the abroad place they are supposed to come from, still trying to wrap my head around Olive Garden and their very north-american spin on Italian cuisine, and now this video catches me off guard!

Thank you for this unexpected insight into the Japanese presentation of my homeland cuisine! I do know that Asia and Europe have very different understandings of meal basics, heck even among European countries basics do vary a lot, but seeing the Japanese spin on this was… wild. There are so many different things from actual Italian meals, while I do believe the general vibe has been kept. The venue also looks very much the part, and that definitely helps give some authenticity to the experience. I'm not going to nitpick every single difference, that would just be mean spoiling of the fun, and I believe that would be of little worth to anybody. Still I'm happy you've had the chance to try and took it!!

Also… 1.5L of wine at 13% alcohol… you sure you made it home still awake, did you?? 😅

  11. Hey there again Roki, greetings from the UK from Jk 🎉
Great to see you in celebratory mode after achieving 5k subscribers. Yay😊 That’s alot of people who want to follow you. So well deserved 🙏
It was weird seeing you eat with a fork rather than chops!😅 Do you have a preference?
I love peas. In UK, we eat different types of peas. Mushy peas are my favourite 👍
    Another first class video 😊
Kanpai and Arigatou, until the next time 🎉

  12. In the UK, in the town where I live, at my local pub, a pint of beer is between £5.50 and £6.50, a small glass of cheap malbec red wine is £6.75 a large is £8.50. A med to good range red wine is around £8 – £9 a glass. A whole bottle is about £30. At the local Italian restaurant chain pasta is about £14 – £17 per dish, pizza is the same. Burgers are £12.

  13. Roki-san, so happy for your milestone and wishing we could meet somewhere and celebrate!! Best wishes and keep smiling!

  14. My friend what a feast! I am glad you got to enjoy such a banquet!

I checked out that one ok rock band you mentioned in another video – they are so GOOD!
