In this video, I will be rating wines not according to a 100-point scale or 20-point scale, not even on 5 stars of 3 glasses. I am going to rate wines based on their drinkability. And at the end, we’ll put this idea to the test with a group of friends.

You are perfect Agnese…
I like the ‘wow’ measure. When we turn our heads, and say wow.
I vote for the Drinkability Index to replace the 100 point system. Move over Robert Parker. Agnese is calling the shots now. 😃The way I judge wine is by how much people like it. When a bottle is finished how soon it is replaced. This video was so fun. On the Enjoyability Index I rate it maybe my favorite No Sediment ever.
Very nice tasting and theme. I liked seeing people around the table, in the wine cellar like setting. Love to see the European style foods, yes even the potato chips.
Gruner Veltliner is my favorite, right after are the Brunelo and the Gamay. Last on the list is Primitivo.
Exellent video!!
What a fun video. It must be difficult to come up with a new topic every week, and this was very entertaining indeed.
I use scores as a reference, like restaurant ratings. At a certain level I know I will like it.
My drink ability index is simple— I only have wines in my cellar that I like to drink. It just depends on what we are eating. Charcuterie and nibbles or rack of lamb will make the decision.
Not a huge fan of new world Sauvignon blanc as it tends to give me acid reflux. Much prefer Sancerre, but that’s just me. Brunello de Montalcino is a serious wine. It is exceptionably drinkable, but it would need something more than some sliced salami. For me, a nice Southern Rhone would have been my go to, or if I wanted to get spunky, a Barolo.
Looking forward to your next video, and my favorite wine critic Obi-Wan.
What a great way to go about wine ratings! I love this episode❤
It is a great follow-up to the ‘Impress’ video you made. I always try to ‘impress’ my friends with wines that I expect them to be asking for more… and more…
First I thought: would never have put a Brunello in this line-up, then I saw it was a ‘20 vintage and I thought ‘okay, this might work’ ‘20 is an ‘early drinking’ vintage IMO.
What I would choose?
A ‘12 or maybe even a ‘11 vintage Brunello. That bottle would be empty before anything else in your line-up!
💯 Normal (wine) people are looking to drink wine(s). NOT taste. For 99.99% of us drinkability is the goal.
Very nice lineup Agnese! I believe drinkability is dictated by the food served with the wine, not the wine itself
I haven't watched your video yet, but I'm looking forward to do so later on. My ratings for a wine are from 0-10, and if I needed to convert it to the Parker scale, my 0 is his 50, which means, my ratings are often harsher / lower if I convert them to his scale. However, I've come to like Tom Gilbeys' scale recently: Class, Pass or Arse xD
Great video. The only problem I have with it is that I wasn’t one of your friends drinking wine. LOL
