Such a tourist trap lolz
Origins:
created in North East Italy under request of Austro-Hungarian soldiers who did not well tolerate the strenght of Italian wines, they were asking for wine with "ein spritzen" – a splash of soda, to dilute it.
E nato in veneto…. Milano non c'entra nulla…
At the origin this was a drink for Italian Brickmason
Spritz was a totally normal drink in Northern-East Italy. Nothing fancy. You could have it in any bar from Venice to Trieste, etc. Then Aperol made it a sort of legendary drink. Good marketing strategy (but the drink is good, no doubt about it).
Campari Spritz >>> Aperol Spritz
Should have done a story on Campari. Milan is home to Campari.🍹
That drink looks v delish. 😍😋 🍷
Australian reporters drink 10 a day during work 😂
I love Italy and Italian food, but Aperol is DISGUSTING. It tastes like orange cough syrup. It's all about Campari!
Tu quoque, CBS… that pesky, totally inappropriate mandolin again, in a service about Milan. I mean… would you approve banjo or delta blues in a foreign TV service about New York or Boston? Give us a break and drink up your sprits (or Mi-To, or Negroni, even better), folks! 😀
What a beautiful bar.
