The famous pizza slices in the USA come from New York City, Chicago, Detroit, and California… but what state actually eats the most pizza? There are a few ways to approach that question. One would be to look at the total volume of pizza slices sold, but in this video we look at a metric from a nationwide survey done in 2025: the average days per month that the average resident of a state eats pizza. Which state would you guess wins that contest?

  1. Hi I'm from Connecticut and I will tell you we do eat a lot of pizza but it's not usually New Haven style, we prefer Greek style pizza or New York style pizza

  2. Iowa is the start of rural America, where you gotta start clutching your purse and keeping an eye on whites, then you know. They are fat af!!! Respect tbh.

  3. we dont eat so much pizza in NY anymore because they jack up prices to unreasonable levels. it went from 1.99 for two slices and a coke to 5.99 for the same.

  4. I was close, I guessed wisconsin becasue its close enough in proximity to Illinois and theyre all obsessed with cheese up their. figured it was a lock, but Iowa surprised me.

  5. New Haven style Pizza or "Ah-Peezz" has been voted the best in the world for decades. That monstrosity of sauce on flatbread with no cheese is NOT New Haven style pizza. I don't know where you got that shit.

  6. Guessed wisconsin. If you've been to a wisconsin grocery store, you know why i put this answer. Im curious if the source you used was just talking about restaurant pizzas or did it include frozen pizzas.

  7. Try days per week in pizza rolls, I’ll carry Indiana myself on the survey like it’s a competitive match with fairly ass teammates

  8. Wisconsin was my guess. Almost everyone here loves pizza and eats it even if they dont like cheese. I just get less of it and more well done

  9. Still doesnt matter im sure nyc sells more pizzas per day than other states i dont really get this days per month evaluation…doesnt equate to the same thing

  10. That chicago take makes you sound like youre on drugs, either new york or new haven has to be the best pizza. The combination of crisp underbelly without flop or being to crunchy mixed with their style of sauce and fresh cheeses beats chicago by MILLIONS OF MILES.
