LOL your 'rocking' back and forth in your seat makes me feel like I am on a boat!! Thanks for the info.. I forget, how long can you stay as a tourist if you are not sure if you want to be a resident? And if you do want to be a resident, is there an income requirement if you are retired?
Any options/resources for rentals for three months at a time outside of Airbnb?
Thanks! Great content as always ❤
Seems the $1170 did not included your rent or mortgage payment. (?)
Would you recommend Montenegro over Albania? To retire/live
Glad to see Katie looking well! I had no idea there were that many expats in Montenegro. I am definitely looking into retirement there as an alternative to Albania. Many thanks for another informative video!
Great video. What's the average temperature in Kotor in the winter?
We were in Montenegro for 3 weeks in summer and do love it there and are thinking of moving. We have been in Mexico for last 7 years retired from Canada but looking for golf so I heard they are building a new course in Lustica. Is there another course in Montenegro and when is the one in Lustica Bay going to be done? thanks
What is the temperature in July and August please? Thank you
So you can only stay there for 90 days every 180 days, just like Schengen?
What about property tax, condo fee, property insurance?
For years all I heard from people moving from the US was "Portugal", there was some kind of Portuguese mania, now that seems to be dying down due to immigration changes there and I am now starting to frequently hear Montenegro mentioned by a ton of people. I hope the country's Real estate and cost of living does not start to skyrocket and negatively affect the native citizens there, that would be another sad outcome just like what has happened in Portugal.
Aren’t there also real estate taxes? How did you get your dogs into the country?
Sounds really great! I am a new subscriber. By any chance, have covered the process on how to be a resident in Montenegro (paperwork requirements, etc.) and healthcare system (hospitalization, clinic visit, etc.)? Thanks!
Love how you never forget to cover taxes! Have a great week! 😊 Looking forward to the new residency video.
That’s not overly cheap! You get a lot better value for money in non € currency countries
Hi guys,
I follow your channel and I’m in your Facebook group .
I just saw the above video and I am very interested if I don’t go to Ecuador with its power problems I would love to live in Montenegro and I do have a little medium size dog, but can you expand on Social Security going up in 2025. I haven’t read that anywhere? I’m 59 not on it yet but very much looking forward to it in the next three years
$1170 doesn't cover rent because they own their home. Still $2400 ($1200 for rent) to replicate that lifestyle in Europe is a good value. I would be interested in a comparison video between Montenegro and Albania since these seem to be the 2 most popular expat trends in Europe currently.
Do they tax personal foreign income from USA?
Hi Julie and Warren
I thought i had typed out and sent a message already a day or two ago but had no response so decided to look for my original message and i cant find anything. Something must have gone wrong.
I am single 63 planning possible 8 week trip to Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and back to Serbia where i would fly in and out of. I thought travel in clockwise direction in May and June.
My biggest worry is i dont know what exact sights to see yet and how long in each place. With your expertise on the area could i book accommodation the first and last nights in advance but book as i go at that time of year. I am worried about peak season and having nowhere to sleep or at extortionate rates blowing out the budget. Any suggestions on this trip from you or anyone else watching would be very much appreciated.
