I didn't understand the point of complaining about small portion sizes when you got so many plates 🙄 All Michelin star restaurants serve food, in that manner. I don't understand how you don't know that prior to going in. And, how do you not know what you're ordering? We all have Google translate on our phones. The sister and her fiancé seemed a lot more respectful.

All this reinforces to me is that a Michelin star means basically nothing. Cooked with high quality, high standards and consistency? Yes. Does it mean "good food"? It's certainly not a requirement. Seems like a big circle of jerks more than any particular badge of honor, at least depending on the establishment. However, I remember looking up a list if Michelin-starred restaurants in NYC and many actually are not terribly expensive and do look very good.

This is why I dont do find dining- as a picky eater and I dont eat any red meat, fish or pork other than bacon – the options would be nearly none plus the idea of paying the amount of a meal out (actually more than in most cases) for my family of 4 for a few bites of food that has unknown ingredients is not even the slightest bit appealing to me. I live rurally and we have only had 2 restaurants near here that are on the finer side of dining and they both had 1 thing I could eat on their menus and I had to pock around things at one of them – not fun. It is ok to just know you arent a fine dining kinda person. I do appreciate you going to show us what it was like though.

It was a pure struggle to get through what I did, before turning it off. Their immaturity with food, culture and manners is insane! If you can afford the restaurant maybe also splurge on appropriate attire.
