If you’re looking for some delicious Italian food from a restaurant that’s been here almost 70 years in East County we’re going to give it to you Ledo’s Italian food in Lemon Grove Hello hello I am excited to be here today hi I have been here a couple times before but you guys have been here for a very long time so tell me a little about Lidos so ledos was established in 1955 we are older than NASA older than Disneyland and the president of the

United States was Dwight D Eisenhower our family my family purchased the restaurant in 1978 my dad my mom and my brother and I joined them in 1994. and so what are you guys known for here so the restaurant itself is a very Community oriented restaurant it caters

To a lot of families a lot of people come in here enjoy the pizza they love the spaghetti and the meatballs they um we served this little dish it’s called an hors d’oeuvre and it has cheese and crackers and people just love it they’re like oh my God we want to get

The hors d’oeuvre not a lot of restaurants stay around you guys are almost 70 years so like what is it that makes a restaurant stay around for 70 years when you see all these trendy restaurants come and go well a lot and a lot of the success is that we

Always produce or put out the consistency of the same dish so people come in here and say God it hasn’t changed in 20 years and that’s basically the best compliment that you can give a restaurant we always add to the menu but we don’t necessarily take away from the

Menu so a lot of people come in here and have their favorite dish and also they’ll have a selection of maybe try something new but I find people kind of resistant to that they really like the old standards and while I’m starving I’m ready to eat so let’s go back in the

Kitchen all right you got it foreign [Applause] Pasta and lined with a meat and cheese and the middle of it is the uh lasagna which again we make here ourselves um the cannelloni and the mankind so he’s putting it all together so we put it all together so you don’t have to pick which one is your favorite you just

Get them all just get them all okay so you enjoy the whole Gizmo and then what kind of sauce are you guys doing on there so we we have three sauces we have a meat sauce which is a very um robust with meat it’s a red sauce okay we have

Our regular sauce which is a little slightly has a little meat flavor but slightly less okay and we have our meatless which is the marinara okay okay and a lot of people really like the meatless a lot of people are interested yeah no meat thing yep and we offer that

And it’s a very um very very good sauce one of our sauces are probably the best yeah and so some people have never had manicotti or cannelloni so what are what’s in those so cannelloni is a Tubi looking uh uh pasta with a ricotta cheese filling the cannelloni is a 2v

Looking pasta miso so you have the cheese and the meat and we get a little bit of both beautiful yeah all right I’m so excited to dive into this food today just seeing this mountain delicious pasta all the colors like this place is fire I remember coming here my first time

We’re coming here for your first time let’s dive into this if you know me you know I like a little spice on my food so throw a little red pepper on here just in case there’s not enough cheese I’m gonna throw a little more cheese on here

And again you got manicotti kind of loaning ravioli like a Tony like you got everything on this dish we’ll start out with one of these raviolis back here foreign First time coming here you know what makes a really good restaurant is consistency like she said they make the same dish every time you know exactly what to expect fresh ingredients made with love and just that good family Vibe because if you’re looking for a new
