Smoked Lasagna ⤵️ 1 white onion, diced 1 green bell pepper, diced 3-4 cloves garlic, minced 1lb lean ground beef 1 tbsp Italian seasoning 2 tsp salt 2 tsp black pepper 2 tsp Cajun seasoning 28oz crushed tomatoes 16oz ricotta cheese 1 egg 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 1/2 tbsp chimichurri seasoning 1 box oven-ready lasagna 8oz shredded mozzarella
1. Preheat the smoker to 350°F. 2. In a large pot, add the oil, onion & bell pepper. 3. Sauté until translucent, then add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute more. 4. Add the ground beef to the pot & cook until browned. 5. Add the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper & Cajun seasoning and mix to combine. 6. Add the crushed tomatoes, then cover & let simmer for 20-30 minutes. 7. In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan & chimichurri seasoning. 8. Add the meat sauce to the bottom of a baking dish (or aluminum pan). 9. Add a layer of lasagna noodles, layer of meat sauce, layer of lasagna noodles, layer of ricotta, layer of lasagna noodles, and finish by pouring the remaining sauce on top. 10. Cover the top with mozzarella cheese. 11. Smoke at 350°F for 45 minutes, or until the edges just start to get golden brown. 12. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
