Who says you have to rush an hour away to Rome the second your cruise docks?
Instead of dealing with packed trains and strict tour schedules, I decided to take it easy and do a completely self-guided day in Civitavecchia. We’re wandering through the historic streets, admiring the old architecture, hanging out by the beach, and most importantly eating my weight in authentic Italian cuisine. In this video, I’m visiting the top rated pizza restaurant in Civitavecchia, trying tiramisu and authentic Italian sorbet 🤤
If you’re on a long cruise and just want a low-stress, budget-friendly port day with great views and even better pasta, staying local might just be the move.
What we’re getting into:
Sightseeing: Strolling through historic spots and checking out old Italian architecture 🏰
The Beach: Soaking up the coastal views right by the port 🌊
The Food: Hunting down delicious local dishes and sweet treats 🍝🍨

Tiramisu and Muscle Beach?! What's not to love!
Smart of you to declare the pizza better than Papa John's. Might have been sleeping with the fishes otherwise! 🍕🍕😀
