Welp, you guys talked me into it! I decided that since I work in the metals industry, I should make my own Pizza Steel. Here's what I did.
I had 16" diameter laser cut out of 3/8" A36 Hot Rolled Steel. Everything I found for sale was on 1/4" thick. Then I ground all of the mill scale off the top and beveled the edges. Next, I coated the metal with avocado oil and baked it at 500 degrees for one hour. I repeated this process three times. Looks like it will be time to cook some pizzas tomorrow.
If you have any questions, ask away.

Yes, my question is a two-parter:
Where are you in the world, and how much would you charge for one?
Looks great, I got mine from a metal worker that sells on etsy. No reason to buy a branded steel for twice the price.
Should have left it a square. The circle just makes launching harder
So, a pair of vice grips and you’re all set.
I was literally just looking into this and emailed a steel supplier a few days ago. How much did you pay overall?
