Who are Kara and Nate?!

2016-2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s

2020-2024: https://youtu.be/ikAN9e0gBaU?si=G644UGWIqPrOzTYW

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted 😉

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 11TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer 🙂

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

  1. It is such a joy to experience the world through your shared travels. That was amazing to see. Thank you. You both are such a beautiful dynamic duo🤩👏🏽💪🏽👌🏽👍🏽

  2. Love watching your videos and I have followed you since you started on your 100 country journey years ago. I lived for 4 years teaching English in Kyushu in Saga and Nagasaki prefectures so thee places you are stopping at are so familiar.

  3. Did you seriously eat in a restaurant with a baseball cap on, I’m British and even I know this is so disrespectful, seriously dude aren’t you supposed to be well travelled?

  4. Nate cap is totally American thing…
    Is he baldy or something!!!….Kara
    Kara love your hair cut🎉..
    Greetings from the beautiful Caribbean

  5. I spent two weeks in Japan. I ate too much, nonstop, and lost 7 pounds! I so wish we had access to fresh seafood in Michigan!

  6. I love the relationship that you have with your son. Travelling all over the world with him must be fantastic for you both

  7. you are so disreputable of the journey.. maybe spend a little more time in the country and a little less on your own vanity.. The train and journey were rated well before you got on.. Can you offer something globally anywhere for time over distance witing your cost that offer your needs?

  8. How annoying! Yet another influencer with a camera filming while being a ridiculous ignoramus invading everyone else's privacy! Take your hat off. Stop embarrassing yourselves and giving Americans a bad name.

  9. Сначала даже не заинтересовалась этим роликом, так как уже видела несколько обзоров этого поезда. Однако все же решила посмотреть, и ваш обзор оказался лучшим. Да и вы сами классные. Спасибо.

  10. I love this channel, always something interesting, but today I did not want to see it end. Have watched this video 3 times now and will probably watch it again.

  11. After that experience how could you even think about riding aboard anything Amtrak ever again? 😝 (tho that 1300yr old temple with zero updates would prepare you)

  12. Feeding me 12 courses but expecting me to eat to only 80% full is a whole new level of culinary cruelty! 😫

  13. 38:15で列車が走っている海沿いの桜が咲いている場所は九州のどこですか?バックに円錐形の山もありますが、どなたかご存じですか?

  14. 7 stars is not a mark of quality. It refers to the fact that the train goes to 7 destinations. The 7 star hotel in Dubai is just self promotion. That's like me saying, "I'm the greatest athlete/musician/actor/statesmen/rocket scientist of all time". And the only proof is that I said it. That's why any legitimate restaurant/hotel always tells you the source of their "stars". Also because different organization uses different standards. NY Times gives out 4 stars max, Michelin gives out 3 stars max. Forbes gives out 5 star max. You can't just say you got "5 stars". You might have gotten 5 stars out of 10 for all we know or you might have gotten 5 stars from your mother.

  15. And I just can't understand why we cant have the same experience in the US, specially when there are tons and tons of scenic routes available…

  16. 31:12 “Looks like we’re wearing hospital gowns!😩”
As you’re literally wearing a piece of our Japanese history, let alone not giving a SINGLE damn about literally any details😞
Idk, it just sounded so… RUDE😅🥲

  17. I'm Brazilian and I love seeing different and luxurious travel experiences. This was the first video I watched from you and I loved it. Thank you so much!
