๐ง Pasta water (very important!)
๐ง A LOT of parmesan
๐ถ๏ธ Black pepper on top (always)
Melt the butter with the hot pasta water, add the pasta, then parmesanโฆ
mix, mix, mixโฆ and boom: creamy, simple, perfect Alfredo.

Itโs just butter and Parmesan? I cooked complexed meals when I was a student! I donโt doubt itโs good, but I cannot believe itโs good enough for all the fuzz everyone is making about it. But French something in butter and the Americans will love itโฆ

I have been doing this my whole life calling it buttered noodles, made it for my kids. And never knew i was making the real Alfredo. Lol
Yeah looks like it evolved backwards, I'll take the improved and more popular American version
I've tried it both ways, the creamy alfredo is just way better
