Florence is my favorite city to visit because it has so many amazing gluten free food options! I’ve been 3 times now and it just keeps getting better. Definitely check out Catalin from @celiacinitaly because she has celiac disease and lives in Florence! I had the pleasure of getting lunch with her and she has so much knowledge!

ABOUT ME: I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2021 at the age of 23. The lifestyle change was really hard for me – especially feeling like I couldn’t do the things I loved like traveling. Thankfully, I’ve learned a lot over the past couple years about my autoimmune disease, and how to travel with Celiac Disease. I can’t wait to share more tips and inspire you to take your next gluten free adventure!

  1. I love visiting Florence! I've been to every restaurant in this video too! If you go back I recommend the restaurant Da Garibardi. They're AIC and had some of the best Florentine steak I've had in the city!

  2. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience traveling with celiac disease.
I got diagnosed with celiac disease a year ago and ever since I've been feeling insecure about traveling and watching videos with people like you make me feel better and encourage me to start traveling too.🥲

  3. I studied abroad in Florence for a year before being diagnosed with celiac. I really want to go back to visit but I kind of feel heartbroken that i will have fewer options. Grateful to have had that time to enjoy gluten though 😢
