Dave Eats Europe officially kicks off at Pearson Airport Terminal 1, right after security, where the first “meal” of the trip ends up being a pile of fries before a long flight to Spain. After landing in Barcelona, the journey begins at Vapiano Gran Vía — a bright, open‑kitchen Italian spot where the cook personally recommended their BBQ Chicken Pizza. Fresh dough, fast service, and a chef-backed pick made it the perfect first stop in Europe.

If you’re in Barcelona, this is the exact location I visited:
Vapiano Gran Vía
Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 630
08007 Barcelona, Spain

In this episode:
– Pearson Terminal 1 after security
– Airport fries (because of course)
– Long-haul flight to Barcelona
– First Europe food stop: Vapiano Gran Vía
– Cook-recommended BBQ Chicken Pizza taste test
