Have you ever tried celebrating a tradition from your home country in a completely new place? I’d love to hear your stories!
Hi, I’m Mona.
A Persian girl living in Italy😉🌺
Ever wondered how someone celebrates New Year’s in a completely different country, far from home? 🎉
Today is Nowruz, the Persian New Year, and even though I’m living alone in Italy, I wanted to keep the tradition alive. I cooked herb rice with fish and set up a Haft-Seen table—a special arrangement with symbolic items that Iranians place for good luck in the new year.
It was my first time doing this completely alone, and it made me think about how traditions can bring warmth, comfort, and connection—even when you’re far from family.
I’m really happy you were here with me.😊😍
Celebrating this moment together.💖🎉
