A North Carolina couple turned to HGTV’s “Love It or List It” when they decided to fix up their home for future foster children. But now they’re taking the production company to court. In an interview you’ll see only on “CBS This Morning,” the homeowners gave Manuel Bojorquez a firsthand look at the work they say falls short.

  1. The renovations on this show always looked rushed and subpar. Surprised this is the 1st time they are being sued.

  2. I never watch anything on HGTV anymore. Its all fake and staged. I heard the work is very bad.

  3. C’mon people. What do you think is going on? It’s a tv show. It’s nothing more. You’ve watched them rip out perfectly good floors, kitchens, etc to update rooms that many of us would have loved to have . Then they redecorate with bare minimums which is usually the only update needed. It’s a show that shows you on almost every project how society has a spending problem, purchasing more than they need or have room for.

  4. They makeover people homes without asking and they do it to people that obviously can’t afford it they are secretly damaging families

  5. Why not be honest about it. HGTV's show offered a chance for the owners to get on TV and it was more important than hiring your own renovators. You wanted to be on TV, you got on TV. You should now deal with your own mistakes. Sure HGTV renovation shows are ALL fake, it's scripted down to the "looks" the hosts give each other and it's so damn ridiculous. You let someone else redo your bedroom…now sleep in it as punishment for being…dumb.

  6. My sister and brother in law are also thinking about suing an HGTV Reno as well. Outgrown was the series.. ridiculous. Just one of the crazy bull craps they pulled was they were watching tv on a Saturday morning and the entire kitchen sink fell through the island. It was awful….
