Guys don’t get your nutrition advice from people with no credentials on social media…
Italians are skinny because they don't eat carbonara everyday, I eat veggies/fruit and stews
It's their small portion sizes and the fact they walk everywhere you idiots.
I raise wheat for a living. I am friends with people who raise wheat for a living. None of us spray folic acid on our wheat…..
This is nonsense misinformation. I live in Europe, I make pasta regularly from scratch, I go to Italy on holiday. I can assure you: the average person will not lose weight eating pasta and pizza in Europe. It’s high calorie food and if you consume more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. Folic acid has nothing to do with it.
Why are you allowing this stuff on your channel without fact checking Graham?
This is beyond dumb. portions are generally smaller and you walk most places which would help with digestion. There are plenty of fat Italians and Europeans walking around, obviously not like the US but this is some ridiculous misinformation
Absolute quack
Yoooo true calories are totally different in Europe!
Take down this misleading ass short.
You don't gain a ton of weight in Europe because you're walking around and exercising most of the day by walking around, sweating, etc. If you walked around at home/in your neighborhood as much as you do when travelling in Europe (for miles and miles) then you would not be putting on dozens of pounds either.
Also are just going to pretend like Europeans aren't spraying chemicals on their food either?
Chem trails and all other ingredients: hold my beer
That’s dumb. Just look at the portions. They don’t serve an entire pound of pasta in european restaurants. Everything in America has to be big for no reason, just pure self indulgence
A 10second google search says this is bullshit
Maybe the reason you don't feel like garbage when you eat pasta in Italy is because you are walking everywhere and expending calories…hard to do that in America without walkable cities
Real answer: American versions of food are packed with sugar/fat. Thats why many of them like cereal are banned in EU. Also just compare how pizza toppings look – drowning in fat cheese and oil. Meanwhile Italian pizza is 90% sauce.
This is ridiculous!
The reason people lose weight in Europe has nothing to do with the foods. Places like France have very how fat foods and carb heavy diets. People lose weight there because they don't overeat and they walk everywhere and use public transportation. The average European in a day probably walks 10k steps a day in their sleep.
I love how he’s blaming science and not the government. “Oh yeah the government decided to spray a bunch of random chemicals everywhere, but those DAMN scientists grrrr”
I hate Gary Brecka.
about 50% of the population can't break it down and it causes issues
You definitely don’t loose weight eating pasta and bread in Europe 🤣 yes, it’s a different way the pasta is made in Italy, but it’s still carbs dude…
Stop eating vitamins, you'll feel better and it helps with your diet – some idiot
this is a lie. why are you guys putting this quack on your page
You lose weight when you eat that in Italy because you walked 20,000 steps a day
As a European who regularly travels to the U.S. for work I find the biggest difference to be the portion sizes whenever you eat out.
Yes it’s probably more “natural” or whatever in Europe and it’s probably healthier because of it. But American portions are 40-80% bigger. Of course you’re gonna feel like your stomach will explode.
That's a crazy amount of bs
Wrong, misinformation. Please dont listen to him
BS
I love how fat Americans deny these facts too in order to feel better about their poor eating habits.
Me wen me wen contrustruct of folate or vitamin B9 me wen me wen a popular creator who lacks basic information on water soluable vitamins exsists😮
Folic acid is vitamin B dawg…😂😂
Folic acid is really important when trying to prevent spinal cord defects in embryos and fetus'. If youre not pregnant do whatever you want with your body, but if you are pregnant I highly encourage you to eat folic acid / folate and to take your vitamins
This guys a moron
a loaf of bread in america lasts 2 months with no mold bread in europe doesnt do this
No you lose weight eating pasta in Italy because your average step count triples while you’re there.
I went to Italy with my family last summer and it was kind of crazy, the major cities are all built for walking, everything is designed to be accessible by foot and there are so little cars. I averaged 20k steps/day without even trying when at home I’d get 10k and that’s with me making an effort to walk more.
For the average sedentary person who barely makes it to 5k steps a day, suddenly getting 15k+ would have a massive impact on your daily caloric burn
Misinformation! Folic acid is healthy for you!
Its the wine that makes u feel good
Folic acid is converted by your body into folate, also known as vitamin B9.
I am from europe, from slovenia which is on Italys border, you will be obese if you eat pizza daily and I defo dont feel full of energy if I stuff myself with refined carbs
Hey, check this out. You don't.
100% bs I eat pasta and bread in europe just as fat from it and just as tired 😂
Can confirm i feel sleepy and fat even if i eat European pasta 😂
In Italy, they also smoke a pack of cigarettes for bfast. Kinda helps w weight control. This is such bs lmao who actually believes this crap
You lose weight in a calorie deficit. Portion sizes in Europe are on average, much lighter.
Imagine trusting this Jew
Folic acid doesn't make you fat
The laws of thermodynamics are the same in Italy the USA or anywhere in the universe where physics apply
Absolutely TRUE !
🧠 Summary: Folic Acid vs. Folate in Animal Studies
Animal research has shown important differences between synthetic folic acid and natural folate, especially regarding metabolism, development, and potential risks.
1. Metabolism and Bioavailability
Folic acid is well absorbed but must be converted in the liver to its active form (5-MTHF).
High intake of folic acid can overwhelm this system, leading to unmetabolized folic acid (UMFA) in the bloodstream.
This UMFA may interfere with normal metabolism and gene regulation.

2. Neurological Development
Mouse studies show that moderate folic acid supplementation during pregnancy can lead to behavioral changes in offspring.
Natural folate did not produce the same effects.
📖 Study: Moderate Folic Acid Supplementation in Pregnant Mice Results in Behavioral Alterations in Offspring
🔗 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7352339/
3. Epigenetics and Gene Expression
Folic acid can affect DNA methylation, especially if overconsumed.
These methylation changes impact gene expression and may affect long-term health.
📖 Study: Folate and DNA Methylation: A Review of Molecular Mechanisms
🔗 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3262611/
4. Cancer Risk
Both low and excessive folic acid intake can influence cancer risk in rodent models.
Supplement timing and dosage were key—moderate intake helped, but high doses could stimulate existing tumors.
📖 Study: The Timing and Duration of Folate Restriction Differentially Impacts Colon Cancer Risk in a Rodent Model
🔗 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8746403/
5. Immune and Liver Effects
Mice fed high doses of folic acid had reduced MTHFR enzyme activity, leading to liver damage and altered lipid metabolism.
Again, this was not seen with natural folate.

✅ Conclusion
Natural folate from food is safer and more biologically compatible.
Folic acid, while effective at preventing neural tube defects, can lead to side effects when consumed in excess.
Animal studies suggest caution with high-dose folic acid, particularly during pregnancy or long-term use.

This is bullshit..I'm from Europe..most of the people that eat bread and pasta are fat as fuck
We wouldn’t have had children without Folic Acid, not to mention eating pasta and bread here in "Europe" does make you fat🤷♂️ Hilarious how people take this stuff seriously🤣
This is bullshit. Sure spraying might be bad. Those people that arent fat that eat pasta dont snack on crap. The US is fat because of fast food and constant snacking along with main meals.
This guy is dumb 😂
