The Terrarossa wine farm lies in the stunning hills between Montepulciano and Cortona, the south of Tuscany. It is part of an ancient estate of 130 acres land, where with respect for nature’s balance, wheat, sunflowers and grapes for the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano are grown. Fields of wine grapes surround the farmhouse. Terrarossa is a former monastery that was first mentioned in the 11th century.
The view over the own vineyards is impressive, on the horizon dominates the church tower of the hamlet of Valiano, about 1,5 miles ahead. The farmhouse, characterized by two robust towers, has a total of 9 apartments of which only one with two bedrooms. It is therefore not a typical destination where many families with children stay. Quietness dominates.
There are possibilities for hiking and biking in the region, it’s possible to fish in one of the two small lakes belonging to the estate. Guests can purchase Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the farm, produced directly at the land around you.
