  1. There was no crime , well except the businesses we shook down , the murders , control of the unions and construction , the beatings , theft etc… Michael you are deluded .

  2. A former gangster saying there was no crime in his neighborhood, while it was being run by the mafia lmao.

Bro murder, assault, extortion, and all the other illegal stuff they did are crimes.

  3. Without the mob the government has more power.
And the government unlike the mob can become tyrants who oppress the people.
Thats why the mob was a good thing.
And thats also why there is barely a mob anymore. Because of the government.

  4. Remember when I said "Micheal we need more people like you" (I know it could have sounded weird at first). What you just said right there is one of the reasons why I said that in a livestream (mob AT the time). Plus the values you have and the godfather clothing style.
Look at France now, most of my generation is dressing like punks. And some 14 y.o kids are involved in drug dealing and some time contract kills (migrants from algeria, moroco at that) in our "districts".
What was one of the rules ? "Don't do drugs, don't involve wife and kids".

  5. Yeah yeah yeah… and the people of Colombia “loved” Pablo Escobar as he murdered thousands and turned city streets into a warzone 🤷🏻‍♂️

  6. There were no crimes in their neighborhoods cause i guess ONLY THEY were allowed to commit the crimes, and the others commiting any other form of crime were fine as long as they gave them a cut basically, that's not even mentioning extortion in order to protect the shop owners from THEM ffs 😂 i do actually understand what he's trying to say though but it just sounded a little odd and kinda funny coming from someone like him 😂

  7. Translation: No one from the outside committed crimes in our hoods because WE was the one's shaking down all businesses.

  8. They had no outside crime coming into the neighborhood because they were committing all the crime bullying the civilians extorting civilians right there on the street I've known it I've seen it I've been involved in it

  9. He's talking about the neighborhoods they lived in, people. It's generally not good business practice to shit where you eat.

Tony Accardo had tons of people clipped for pulling jobs in the neighborhood.

  10. The bronx tale they dont love him they fear him or they dont love us they fear us, , hes cool this guy he does seem to be honest on his videos , ok he committed some crimes but look at the horrendous crimes some people do today. every nite on the news is a more shocking crime than tge next one that makes you god smacked,🙏🙏🙏

  11. What about racketeering and extortion? Ask the average shop owner who was threatened with getting his legs broken if there was no protection money paid, if he was happy with the Mob.

  12. Hey Michael, just one question who were your father’s attorneys joining his law career?

  13. I think Michael is getting a bit delusional. What about heroin dealers, auto-theft, extortion, etc. I get what he's trying to say. Wiseguys probably wanted no crime around the their home, but it wasn't all peaches EVER!

  14. Yeah I’m sure people loved being bullied and harassed and taxed for their businesses and killed at times?

  15. What a load of bullshit. They would take out anyone who got in their way, asked "favours" from the locals, extorted their businesses. Franzese just plays on the ambiguity of the term "mafia associate". Anyone who was in a business that was forced to deal with them was an associate, so in his view those were part of the life, therefore any crime committed against them was just business within the mob. So if they cut grandpas finger who couldn't pay the money, as the sandwich shop didn't make enough money, that was their business and not them hurting a civilian.

  16. I went to a private school with the son of Carmine Sciandra. His name is Peter. Carmine is a capo in the Gambino family. I remember going to do something at Peter’s house. Like drop off something someone who was with me had. They lived in one of the richest neighborhoods on Staten Island. It’s crazy how you can be a legit mobster and attain that level of wealth. It all came crashing down in 2010 when he got pinched for loan sharking among other things.

  17. I grew up Italian/American in Bensonhurst Brooklyn in the 60s & 70s.
We nor anyone I knew ever locked the doors. In 25 years I lived there, not a single burglary. Heaven on earth!

  18. I asked this with great sincerity, respect And curiosity but when you say there was no crime in your neighborhood and you took care of the community. What does that mean exactly? Were you essentially charging a security fee to the local businesses? I’m just curious if that’s what you are implying but not actually saying. Genuine question. Thank you.

  19. Absolutely 💯 correct Michael!! Bensonhurst and Dyker heights had the lowest crime rate of any neighborhood in N.Y.C.!! It might be difficult for people to believe, but our windows and doors 🚪 were frequently open, not locked!!😮❤

  20. Federal government mobilized to take down the mob. Yet black and Hispanic gangs are seemingly allowed to destroy neighborhoods around America with impunity for the last 40 years. Think about why..

  21. The truth; watch the news & 75 & 80yr old men & women are being assaulted in neighborhoods you would never think of; this never happened in my old neighborhood; back in the '70's when NYC was out of control, my neighborhood was nice & quiet; we were close to three housing projects but if you would never know it if you weren't familiar with the neighborhood… They knew better than to come start trouble
