The 2024 Scrub Daddy Summer Games continue with Italy going up against Hungary and Colombia facing off against Greece in an epic cleanup showdown!
If you missed episode one, we do a quick recap to show the USA defeating Germany and Poland defeating Mexico to advance to the quarterfinals.
The competition is structured in a bracket format, with each country competing head-to-head. The fastest cleanup time earns a spot in the championship, where the top three cleanups will win gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Italy cooked up a spaghetti dish with sauce and grilled chicken, side salad and topped off with red wine, which means the Dirt Daddy, aka Scrub Daddy Dan, has to clean up a pan, large pot, strainer, dish, bowl and wine glass.
Hungary whipped up a Hungarian-style potato pancake with mashed potatoes and stuffed cabbage served with a glass of brandy. Dan is responsible for cleaning up a pan, casserole dish, small pot, dish, and a drinking glass. This matchup came down to the wire!
In the next matchup, Colombia served Ajiaco, which is a chicken and veggie soup, picada, which is usually served with a few different meats, but we cooked it up with chicken and veggies and topped it off with a cup of Colombian coffee. So, Dan has to clean a pan, large pot, soup bowl, dish, coffee pot and coffee mug.
Greece prepared a hummus dish with a gyro, and finished it off with a cup of portokalada, which is an orangeade drink. The cleanup involves a pan, blender, cookie sheet, ramican, dish and a glass cup. Find out at the end to see who advances!
