A BOTTLE BORN AT INFERNO’S EDGE
Terra del Vulcano, or the โ€œland of the volcano,โ€ is a captivating red blend sourced from Sicilyโ€™s most famous volcanic terroir. It is crafted from grapes that have been cultivated in landscapes shaped by ancient volcanic activity, resulting in a wine with remarkable depth and complexity. This Wine Club Exclusive represents a harmonious fusion of Sicilyโ€™s volcanic heritage and the artistry of winemaking.

This elegant Sicilian wine boasts bright and earthy flavors of red cherry, cranberry, rose petal, cedar, and truffle. It is medium-bodied and dry. It is versatile and will pair with red meats as well as meaty fish dishes like tuna. Tomato-based sauces will sing with this wine!

The grapes for this wine come from the foothills and slopes of Mount Etna, an active volcano on the island of Sicily in Italy. The volcano regularly spews ash and pumice stones that can look like sand or be the size of eggs. Deep layers of black, volcanic soil make for both great drainage in the vineyard and mineral-rich land that produces wines of incredible depth and complexity.

Our March Wine of the Month comes from “Theย  Land of the Volcano.” More specifically.ย ย  Terra del Vulcano comes from vineyards on theย  side of Mount Etna, an active volcano foundย ย  in Italy’s island of Sicily. Now, there’s a lotย  of really unique things about a wine like this.ย ย

First of all, the location of the vineyards –ย  again, it’s on the side of an active volcano!ย ย  And these vineyards are at high altitudesย  for a really long growing season. That,ย ย  combined with sun-soaked Mediterranean days andย  these really unique grape varieties. This wine isย ย

Made from Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio,ย  and Nero d’Avola – all wines that are indigenousย ย  to Sicily. The results are so magical. Thisย  is a gorgeous wine, really pretty and soft,ย ย  beautiful bright red fruit, kind ofย  tangy and tart, but at the same time,ย ย

You get this beautiful sun-soaked flavor to it,ย  lots of cherry and plum, a subtle note of Italianย ย  herbs and leather and spice. So, join us in Terraย  del Vulcano, “The Land of the Volcano.” Cheers!
