    I've experienced all the restaurants except for Johnny
    I was at ease until I saw Lem's BBQ
    I feel that Lem's is one of if not the best barbecue houses in Chicago
    Looking at Lem's BBQ makes me want to go out and get some
    I always get the center cut

    I love that we can go to most places and get a Chicago dog with raw onions vs grilled onions. Some people prefer grilled, but I reserve those for polishes . Turano and Vienna are the holy grail. While you can't go wrong with wings and mild sauce, it would've been cool to see the reaction to the "crack" lemon pepper. I don't really eat ribs and bbq, but thank you for not making this a pizza war 👏🏼👏🏼 well, done.

    I'm so glad that the big brother in law came to our hometown here in Chicago to give the die hard foodie Mark a taste of the world's best cuisine !!!! We here in Chicago has the food scene down to science and some of the world's best chefs hail right from here in the one and only Chicgo !!!!! I have to thank the big brother for showcasing our foods to Mark and showing him what every local as well as visitors from all over the world already knows a out Chicago food – IT'S THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     Oh man Wally's Hot Dogs used to be at Diversey and Central had the best hot dogs. They put shreaded lettuce, cucumber, onion relish, tomatoes, hot peppers and celery salt.

    I remember about 20 years ago we had a couple customers come into Chicago from Oklahoma City for a few days. These guys were straight out of central casting and were both about 6'5" and 280 pounds and loved to eat. Before I dropped them off at Midway Airport for their flight back home I took them to the Portillos on Archer & Harlem for lunch. I did the ordering and got them each a few hot dogs and a couple Italian Beef/Sausage combos with sweet peppers. I thought they were going to miss their flight because they didn't want to leave LOL! They were both saying man if they opened one of these back home the lines would be out the door. Food is the great connector amongst us all.

    MY City, I grew up on Harolds, Leon's BBQ, Lem's and Taurus steak sandwich Mmmm. ChiTown has the BEST of BEST food hands down!!!

    Initially, I was questioning your BIL's picks. I'm southside, so Jim's and Johnnie's aren't the go-to places. But then…you jumped to Cal Park for the Harold's and then 75th for the LEM'S!!!     For those not from Chicago, some of the best food is actually around areas not called The Loop. Your poorest Black and Hispanic areas in Chicago have some of the best food. Yet you'll never know this if u listen to people who try to make it seem like 2023 Chicago is as violent as 1993 Chicago. I see so many tourist that are scared to leave downtown, and it's actually sad. I'm sure I'll have some of the problem people I'm typing about replying to my comment, about some bs that they mainly picked up from the news media…
