During one of our day trips exploring the island, I asked to do a side trip to see the famous The Rock Restaurant. I had read a lot about it. Apparently, it is a perfectionaly functioning restaurant that sits on a tiny rock and you can reach it on foot at low tide and by boat at high tide. It is also considered one of the best and most expensive restaurants on the island. What I forgot to read is that you need a reservation to get a seat…so once we arrived there our chances of getting a seat were very slim!
However I tested synchronicity of the things that happen to us and it was meant to be! Plus I didn’t realize that the restaurant is Italian and of course everyone speaks Italian. So it was our happy place! The manager took the time to chat with us and tell us all about how this restaurant became a reality. The story is pretty fascinating, make sure you watch it!
So here we are having a wonderful meal, watching Luca play with the many kids on the beach and just enjoying another beautiful moment here in Zanzibar!

Welcome to our Vlog! We are the 5 Wold Explorers: Massimiliano, Sarah, Cosimo, Emma, and Luca! Our family of 5 sold everything and set out to explore this beautiful world in June 2018.
