In the latest installment of Bozzelli’s Wine TV, we have the distinct pleasure of hosting Lee Cohen of Gallo’s Lux Brands. Besides Lee being one of the coolest somm’s we know, who has worked in the hospitality industry for 35 years with stints at Disney World and Capital Grille, this show is a must watch because we are introduced to four amazing Italian wines including a sauvignon blanc from Italy that rivals any New Zealand sauvignon blanc we have tasted. We elected to call this special sauvignon blanc the “David Yurman” sauvignon blanc
(that may help get you out of the dog house with your significant other) for one obvious reason that you will understand after watching. Both Mike and perennial special guest star Holly Rocco Feraci of Republic National Distributing Company enjoyed the “David Yurman” sauv blanc and Mike loved it so much he went on record calling it his “favorite sauv blanc of 2021”. We also tasted a sicilian red from Etna, a region that has been receiving so many accolades recently in the wine world . This particular vineyard is located on an active volcano so there is so much depth and character to this wine. Lee brings along two more bottles from Italian varietals that are listed below. The tasting was such a success that we would like to thank Gallo for being in partnership with these small production Italian wineries to help broaden their reach.
