MobVlog dives into a little bit of the mob’s involvement with Piero’s Restaurant, located at 355 Convention Center Dr. in Las Vegas NV.
Originally Piero’s was called Villa D Este (Which translates from Italian to English “House of the East” from the 1960’s through the 1980’s. It was owned by Joe Pignatello and supposedly he was backed by Sam Giancana, Chicago outfit Boss.
Frank Sinatra was a regular whenever he was in town, he ate there daily and introduced the Rat Pack (Dean Martin, Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford and Sammy Davis JR.) to the joint while they were all filming Oceans 11.
In 1995 while filming the movie Casino, Martin Scorsese chose the location to shoot a few scenes. Recently Pia Zadora has been performing Friday’s and Saturday’s. You never know who you may run into while dining, many celebrities ranging from Justin Timberlake to Mick Jagger and Former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton.
