Aldo’s family came to the UK in the late 50’s bringing with them their passion for Italian food. His father, an obvious entrepreneur started a mobile shop for the local Italian community, soon turning into a delicatessen encouraging the wider community to try Italian food.
Demand grew such that he then branched into an Italian wholesale which his dad ran alongside his sons until he retired. A man of great integrity and believing nothing was handed to you on a plate, he subsequently sold his wholesale business so his sons could find their own!
A “tough love” lesson which propelled Aldo’s enthusiasm not only for food but the hospitality industry. A trail blazer of their time, the Bosco Family introduced Italian Foods to the UK market for both chefs and consumers. A Pizzeria, Take Away chain and Italian Food Importer, Aldo now oversees Midland Chilled Foods and works with chefs on menu development.
Using his heritage, decades of experience cooking Italian food and recipes handed down through his family, Aldo now invites you into his kitchen. Keen to eat healthy, he adapts many recipes and makes simple swaps to reduce the fat content of his dishes.
