In solidarity with the host country, FAO has lit up its headquarters in Rome with the colours of the Italian flag, known as “Tricolore”, during the COVID19 pandemic.
“In this moment of grave difficulty and concern, we stand with the Italian institutions, doctors and medical staff fighting the virus on the frontlines, and with the Italian people in these difficult times”, said QU Dongyu, FAO Director-General.
The lights will stay on until the coronavirus crisis ends.
