Gambero Rosso, a multimedia company specializing in Italian wine and food, has introduced wines and ingredients from all over Italy in Korea to mark its 40th anniversary.
Gambero Rosso held the “Top Italian Wines Roadshow to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Gambero Rosso” at Ambassador Seoul Polman Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 29th. Hosted by Gambero Rosso and organized by Wine 21, 49 wineries from each region of Italy participated in the event to introduce various productions and varieties of wine.
Founded in 1986, Gambero Rosso published its first wine guide in 1987, and is famous for evaluating the quality of wine by the number of glasses. International tastings and master classes are also held around the world to introduce the excellence of Italian wine.
CEO Marco Moroni Gambero Rosso and General Editor-in-Chief Marco Sabelico Gambero Rosso attended the event, and Italian Ambassador to Korea Emilia Gato also attended to congratulate them. “This 40th anniversary will be a new chapter in the making of another 40 years of Gambero Rosso,” Moroni said. “The goal is to become an ambassador who sincerely informs the taste of Italy.”
It also operated a food booth to showcase various Italian ingredients. You could sample Smelada Botarga and Gerachi Olive Oil, which are listed in Gambero Rosso’s Top Italian Food, as well as Tigley Truffle Processed Products.

At the event, the Korean category of “TOP Italian Restaurant 2027” selected by Gambero Rosso was also announced and awarded. In the pizza restaurant category, Marionne received three pizza slices, the highest grade, and Sparka Napoli received two. In the fine dining category, Paolo de Maria, Gucci Osteria da Masimo Botura Seoul received two forks each, and Tratoria Romagna, Brera, Ilvechio and Rialto received one forks each.
