Some cats are born to be models. Some are born to be professional couch potatoes. And then there’s Giuseppe, a ridiculously fluffy Persian cat who looks like he’s been running a little Italian restaurant in New Jersey since 1972. This magnificent gentleman has an enormous white mustache, the sweetest little face, and the kind of expression that says he’s about to tell you his grandmother’s secret meatball recipe. I am OBSESSED with him.

In the hilarious TikTok video, Giuseppe is busy making biscuits on a blanket, but thanks to his spectacular facial hair, it looks like he’s whipping up a fresh batch of homemade meatballs. His little white paws are working away, and that mustache is giving serious Italian grandpa energy. All he needs is a tiny apron, a pot of Sunday gravy, and someone yelling from the kitchen that the pasta is ready. MAMMA MIA, this cat is precious!

The adorable video from @theothepersian_ introduces us to Giuseppe, a fluffy little guy whose giant white mustache might be the most impressive facial hair I’ve ever seen on a cat.

The video jokes that you’ve ordered meatballs and Giuseppe is making them from scratch. And judging by those little paws, he’s taking his job VERY seriously.

Naturally, people in the comments are absolutely losing their minds over this tiny Italian gentleman.

“When the moon hits your eye but you’re just a lil meatball mustache guy, that’s amore,” joked one viewer.

Another person wrote, “I love when cats have names that feel they were born with them, this mf IS Giuseppe.”

And someone else had a very important request.

“Please Giuseppe, I know it’s last minute, but everyone knows you make the best meatballs in town and I need some for my Sunday night dinner.”

Honestly, same. I’ll take two orders of meatballs, extra sauce, and whatever dessert Giuseppe recommends. I hope it’s tiramisu!

Why Cats Make Biscuits With Their Paws

As adorable as Giuseppe’s imaginary meatball-making career is, there’s actually a sweet reason cats knead blankets, pillows, and sometimes their favorite humans.

Kneading is a behavior that starts when kittens are nursing. They push their tiny paws against their mother’s belly to help stimulate milk flow, and many cats continue doing it long after they’ve grown up.

Here are a few reasons your cat might be making biscuits:

They’re feeling happy. Many cats knead when they’re relaxed and comfortable.

They’re getting cozy. Kneading can be part of settling into the perfect sleeping spot.

They’re marking their territory. Cats have scent glands in their paws, so kneading can leave behind their scent.

They’re showing affection. If your cat makes biscuits on you, consider yourself very special. Even if those little claws hurt.

Of course, Giuseppe doesn’t know that the internet thinks he’s a tiny Italian chef. He’s just happily kneading his blanket and minding his own business.

But with that magnificent mustache and those hardworking little paws, I refuse to believe he isn’t secretly running a five-star Italian restaurant.

And I bet his meatballs are AMAZING.
