Escape to the rolling hills of Umbria as interior designer Meg Rodgers welcomes Homeworthy inside her beautifully restored 200-year-old Italian farmhouse.

Originally built as a working barn, the historic home was thoughtfully transformed while preserving its authentic stone architecture, original character, and centuries-old charm.

After purchasing the property following a spontaneous trip to Italy, Meg and her husband spent a full year living in the home before making design decisions, allowing each room to evolve naturally over time. The result is a layered, inviting retreat filled with collected antiques, timeless interiors, and breathtaking views of the Umbrian countryside.

From the rustic kitchen and cozy living spaces to the gardens, terraces, and olive-filled landscape, this tour celebrates slow living, thoughtful design, and the enduring beauty of Italian country homes.

  2. A wonderful hostess and a beautiful home. A fabulous collection of art and furnishings. What a gorgeous property with an amazing view. Looks very comfortable and welcoming. Thank you so much for sharing.

  3. What a wonderful home and property! It’s livable and comfortable and not too stuffy….you could go visit and feel at home. Just lovely!

  4. What an amazing spot. Fabulous outside gardens and views. The inside is tastefully done. It is so nice to see previous decor and features remain where possible.

  5. 日本で同じ感覚の物件を購入したので、とても参考になりました!Thank you😊

  6. So many Americans have chosen Panicale , Umbria and its surroundings as their Italian home. Congratulations.

  7. Lovely but I do not recommend mirrors on porches. I had one on a porch and a nuthatch bird hit it thinking he saw a flight path and was killed. The mirror came down immediately and I cried. For the same reason mirrors are not good in gardens.

  8. One of my favorites. Not just the view and the house but the way it is “decorated” inside. It’s not decoration; that’s too trivial a word for how this home is styled. It feels so authentic and comfortable.
    Brava

  9. At the beginning of this video, showing the different rooms was so captivating that I gave thumbs up before looking at the details, and hear the hostess' narration. Beautiful comfortable home!

  12. Beautiful home, disappointed and frustrated with the camera person, when the host would pointed out something like the carpet that she brought from Philly the camera didn’t capture that.
