Ciao Famiglia, today I’m taking you with me into real Italian village life – the side of Italy that influencers don’t usually show.

In this video, we spend a slow summer day in Calabria: visiting the local shops, going to Pizzo, seeing how daily life really feels in a small Southern Italian village, and ending the day with a simple lunch by the beach.

This is not the postcard version of Italy. It’s quiet streets, local food, family traditions, simple routines, and the beauty of everyday life in the South.

    My partner and I were in Puglia for two weeks and by the time we left we had a "fruit guy", where we stopped everyday to get our fresh fruit for the day and our "bakery guy". It isn't like that here in Canada at least not where i live. I loved that local feel, that social element.

    I’m happy to find your site . At 18 years old I was stationed in Naples Italy with the U.S. Navy . I think we spent 3 months there as there was a U.S. Military base located a bit off the coast line in the lush green hillsides . We also spent another month tied to an Island i think it was called Gaeta . At 18/19 I had the time of my life there – you made me cry bring up all those great memories I had there . I fell in love in both places there but that was easy to do at that age with all the beautiful people there. There is a local pizza place in my town that claim the use original recipe from a pizzeria 9n Naples but I don’t believe it , I tried it and did not compare to the pizzas I had down town Naples close to the shore line , I’ll never forget that fantastic flavor they had with the olive oil tomato and cheese = Margarita. Ahhh 2 nights a week we played street hockey at a local court yard and invited locals to play with us then we went for a pint or 2 at the local pub . And I’ll never forget our surprise and laughter when we noticed and found out about the “Ricciones” . My God those were Great days 1978/1979 . You are very special – keep up the great work doing what you do .❤
