The Emmy-award-winning Taste Utah follows Katy Sine as she travels the state, exploring the stories behind local artisans, restaurants, agriculture, and Utah’s evolving culinary landscape. Food is essential, but how we create it, share it, and experience it together is what truly shapes community. You always have a seat at our table.
This week on Emmy-award-winning Taste Utah, Katy Sine takes viewers on a tasting tour through the Stein Eriksen collection of properties, from the globally inspired dining and modern mountain elegance of the 7880 Club at the Residences to the lively modern Italian spirit of Cena at Chateaux Deer Valley and to the legendary hospitality, expansive wine cellar, alpine traditions, and unforgettable dining experiences found at Troll Holland Lounge and the Glitretind located at the Stein Eriksen Lodge itself.
At the center of it all is Vice President of Food & Beverage and Corporate Chef Zane Holmquist, whose 25-year legacy at Stein’s has helped shape not only the culinary identity of the property, but Utah’s evolving food culture as a whole. Through mentorship, handcrafted cuisine, local partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to hospitality, Chef Zane and his team continue to create experiences rooted in generosity, authenticity, and care.
From iconic Sunday brunches and après-ski traditions to globally inspired cuisine, craft cocktails, and one of the most celebrated wine programs in the state, this episode explores how food, service, and mountain culture come together to create something truly special at Deer Valley.
Tune in every Saturday on KUTV at 10:00 a.m. MST or on YouTube at 10:30 a.m. MST to discover the must-stops that make Utah a true dining destination.

This video reminded me of when my mom and I stayed at Stein Eriksen Lodge in 2003, the best experience ever. The room was beautiful and comfortable with 2 queen beds. We hiked to the top of the mountain and returned down to enjoy a delicious meal on the outside deck. Staff was so friendly and nice. Sweet memories as my beloved mother passed suddenly on Dec 30, 2025. Mom, miss you.❤
