Trying iconic New York City foods as an Irish couple 🇮🇪🇺🇸🍕🥒
In this NYC food vlog, we joined a local immigration food tour through some of Manhattan’s most famous neighborhoods including Chinatown, Little Italy and the Lower East Side to try some of New York’s most iconic foods for ourselves 👀

From giant NYC pickles to pork buns, cannolis, pizza and classic Jewish bakery foods… we honestly didn’t know what to expect 😅

In this video we try:
🥯 Bialy from Kossar’s
🥒 Pickles from The Pickle Guys
🍬 Candy from Economy Candy
🍕 NYC pizza in Nolita
🇮🇹 Cannolis from Ferrara Bakery
🥟 Pork buns from Mei Lai Wah

This ended up being one of the BEST ways to experience the real New York City beyond the usual tourist attractions. If you’re visiting NYC and looking for authentic local food spots, we’d definitely recommend checking these places out!

  1. Hey guys! 🇺🇸🍔🥒

Thanks so much for watching our NYC food tour video! We went on an immigration food tour through the Lower East Side, Chinatown & Little Italy and honestly… we tried some of the most unique foods we’ve EVER had 😂 I know Pickles are a regular food, but for us, this was our first time to eat them in this way 😆As visitors to NYC it was also incredible to try real New York Pizza, that was probably the star of the show 😋 🇺🇸 If you’re American…
Did we try the RIGHT foods? And do you actually eat pickles like that regularly?! 😂

    🍀 If you’re not from the US…
Would YOU try these foods? Which one looked the best (or worst 👀)?

Also huge shoutout to our guide Seth for making the experience so much fun 🙌

And as always, if you enjoyed the video it would really help us out if you could LIKE 👍 and HYPE 🚀 the video so YouTube pushes it to more people. That support genuinely means the world to small creators like us ❤

  2. Next time go up to the Bronx to Arthur Avenue for better Italian shops. Little Italy is a tourist trap these days

  3. Great video. Pizza is always a great choice. Wish it was a little more greasy. When you hold the pizza slice up, it shouldnt be that hard. The slice should have a little bend to it, where the grease drips off the end. LOL.

  4. The half sour pickles are much less sour and I love them. Formally from NYC now living in the midsouth. By the way my grandma came from Dublin in the early 1900s. Enjoy your videos!!

  5. 2:30 A pickle as a thing to eat in NYC (as well as a condiment) is so natural to me. It's interesting to hear your "outside the box" take. Keep being honest wherever you go.

  6. Boycott Cadbury’s palm oil “chocolate “ ……not environmentally friendly …and is very poor in quality

  7. The pork sandwich was most appealing of al the foods. If there's anything you want to eat, you can get it in NYC. Also I'm a bit of a history buff and Seth knows his stuff! Great video as always.

  8. Love China town. One of my favorite areas of the city. Have you guys tried Caffe Reggio?

It’s a little touristy, but still a fun spot that was supposedly the first to serve a cappuccino in the USA.
