Deborah Parker Wong, MSc, DipWSET is an award-winning wine journalist, educator, and researcher who has been covering the global beverage alcohol industry since 2004. She is Global Wine Editor for SOMM Journal and a contributor to The Tasting Panel, where she writes on topics ranging from sensory science to industry professionals.
Deborah also serves as National Editor for the Slow Wine Guide USA, leading its focus on eco-friendly wineries, and teaches wine studies at San José State University, where she conducts research on sensory training and Gen Z consumers. She is the founder of a WSET-certified wine school and holds a Master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology.
