A Day Onboard Celebrity Ascent! Celebrity Cruises’ Newest Ship!

Welcome onboard Celebrity Cruises newest cruise ship, Ascent! This is in the Edge class and a sister ship to Celebrity Beyond! We are onboard for two nights for a special trade show sailing! We are excited to show you what this sparkling new vessel has to offer!

Today is a super busy day since it is our last day onboard! Matt is busy touring the ship and cabins, so we are going to explore! The highlight of the day was a special Launch Experience where the crew took us out on their state of the art tender/lifeboats for a joy ride! I also checked out the new Private Experience activities available in the Annex for group functions! The day was finished off with another delicious dinner and amazing show!

Hello happy Travelers welcome back on board the brand new celebrity Ascent today we find ourselves at sea ah breathe in that crisp Sea Air now today is going to be a busy day because Matt’s not here right now because he’s out filming the full ship tour of ascent

As well as showing you all of these rooms that they have available for us to see during the special trade event sailing so he’s going to be off doing that today but we are going to have lots of fun today cuz it is a beautiful day

Today and we got a lot of ship to see and only one day in which to see it so let’s get it started our last day on board the brand new celebrity Ascent begins right now but before we go out and explore the ship it is time for Chelsea’s random thoughts about out

Their stateroom thought number one if your window happens to get stuck as in like you push it down and it won’t go back up or vice versa try just like wiping these little sensors off and that may work for you Matt did that and it worked like a

Charm number two this TV does not budge it is firmly mounted to the wall so unless you have gumby read Richards or Mrs Incredible arms you’re not getting a Roku on that TV number three that is one fancy lady number four I think it’s cool that celebrity gives these like little

Extras in the bathroom like some moist tallettes biodegradable a shower cap as well as like a little vanity set that has like a nail file and Q-tips and stuff like that in there I don’t know it’s a nice little touch and I appreciate it okay enough chitter

Chatter let’s go see what we can see on board okay first things first breakfast yes I’m up early enough for breakfast I know it’s a miracle and oh my gosh apparently it’s a Christmas miracle oh my gosh they decorated the grand hall overnight and now it it’s all Christmasy there’s

Beautiful Garland with pine cones and it’s frosted and there’s little curly cute Christmas trees deck the cruise decks with f a Hol la la I love Christmas okay back to breakfast I’m going to pop into the grand beastro to get some Pastries okay these were recommended by the pastry chef so I’m going to go with what they said this is a Nutella croissant so I mean we can’t go wrong there and then this is some kind of BAU they said it was like a cakey kind of

Thing I don’t speak French so that’s the best I got for you I’ll let you know how it is it has like a crunchy outside but the inside’s soft and it’s like cake holy cow it’s really good it kind of tastes like a Christmas cookie my grandma used to make really good come

On look at that flaky goodness mhmh now normally these pastries will incure an extra cost but I’m telling you $2 for that croissant is worth it okay now I’m walking down to Dak two to destination Gateway because they’re having like this tender experience thing for us where we

Get to go out on the tender boats and kind of like ride around a little bit and check out the ship but it’s kind of cool with celebrity because at least on the Edge class ships they’re they’re using the Magic Carpet to get on the tender booat and we’ve never ported on a

Celebrity ship before so we we’ve never done this so we get to see what it’s like even though we’re going to be at Sea today wa cool so we just passed through and look the Magic Carpet right there this what we’re going to go on

W so cool so look this is the Magic Carpet bar and now we’re going to get on the tender booat good thank you holy cow their tenders are huge and they have TVs on them oo I feel Swanky and what’s cool is that there’s Windows all the way around

So most likely you’re going to have a view of the ocean which is really cool oh look there one goes we’re going to do that right now here we go fire ENT we’ll see you in a minute inside the ship or theer please wait for our crew to get the signal they are

Ready to begin embarking or disembarking the launch the sea is always unpredictable even the smallest wave can rock the boat at any time here we go P oh my gosh we’re racing the other tnder B this is amazing we’re just literally doing donuts in the water over and over and over again That was so fun so thank thank you celebrity for giving us that little joy ride cuz it really was joyous but also too I keep calling these tender boats these aren’t just the tender boats these are the lifeboats so that’s what you call making a possible bad situation

Better cuz these lifeboats are amazing but also too like these are going to be available whenever you’re a port so you’re going to have this like kind of tender experience whenever you’re at Port you’re not going to have to use like the public tenders so that’s really cool

That’s a cool thing to invest in that’s passing through the shopping area and outside of the collection store look they have like a port hole projection look a shark just went by and there’s coral and there’s fishy look I’m above water I’m above a whale oh no that’s a manatee

Wait is this salt water or fresh water or brackish I’m not sure either way it’s a portway to the ocean to the water and I like it I’m popping in over here at the annex because they have um something set up where they can show the different private experiences that you can book

For an additional cost on board so this would be really good like if you had a big group on board if you want to do a party or a celebration or something you can maybe do one of these things including a golf simulator a lounge karaoke party holy cow

Game day streaming and movie night oh how cool holy cow this is amazing okay take a look they have like this really cool Lounge area and they have mics and stuff like that because up here you can do uh the karaoke they have like a ton

Of songs you can do and I I think this is a really nice like loungy space to kind of to enjoy that with your friends and stuff and then over here here is the golf simulator and you can see they have all types of clubs and what’s really

Cool is that they have a ton of different games that you can pick from on the screen in a ton of different locations and what’s really neat is that they’re based off of real life golf courses so you can like go to places that you’ve actually played in real life

We have got Chelsea on the green here in the private experience room in asent come on Chelsea show us What You’re Made Of okay he it’s still on the rough but I think it went further yes it did yes it did Chelsea give you some more information about that awesome private experience

Room um the packages are going to range from around like 2 to about um 350 the 350 will give you the celeb ation package where basically like you can have the whole room for 2 and 1/2 hours and get to do all of those experiences the golf simulator the

Screen the movie night the karaoke All That Jazz 200 that’s going to be like if you just want to watch a movie for 2 and 1 half hours or um do the karaoke and then like I think it was 325 if you just want to do the golf simulator for 2 and

1/2 hours so no matter which package you get it’s going to give give you a 2 and 1/2 hour experience and going to accommodate about 10 to 15 people but it’s really customizable and it’s something that you can book ahead of your cruise or something that you can

Book on board at shore excursions so really cool I definitely recommend if you want to do something like special for your group two things to mention one it’s dark out now two I came back to the room to get ready for dinner and guess who back back back back again

Again again oh all I want for Christmas is you’s here it’s you you’re the gift everyone’s been waiting for Coral I know what corl but you work so hard today touring touring touring touring touring your little behind off I’m going to treat you to dinner how kind of you I’m in getting

Ready for dinner and that is an important note because there’s a little bit more of a dress code with celebrity than like you may see on like Ro Caribbean or something like that evenings are a little more put together and fancy nothing too crazy but you can’t wear shorts can’t wear t-shirts

Can’t wear tank tops obviously not swimsuits and this is if like you’re going to one of the dining rooms or something like that you know if you’re going to the buffet it’s a little bit more lenient but you’re going to do a sit down restaurant no shorts no

T-shirts no tank tops and no flipflops now what’s cool on board Ascent is that there’s four main dining rooms like main dining rooms like included with your cruise Fair there’s tusin that we’re going to tonight there’s Normandy right across and then upstairs you can find Cosmopolitan and the Cypress restaurant

Now it’s me is that they all have their own themes and they all have a slightly different menu based on the themes so you’re kind of getting something different each place that you’re going to and as you would probably guess tusin is an Italian themed restaurant and thus comes with an Italian

Menu so we were pretty excited that this was one of the dining rooms that we got assigned to because we love Italian food so a lot of the menu is the same between between the four main dining room restaurants that that’s why they’re main dining they’re all consistent for a lot

Of the menu but then you’ll notice certain sections of like tusin say favorites or tusin exclusives so then that is the part that is exclusive to this restaurant Normy would have its own Cosmopolitan its own so Cypress so forth I forgot to mention we got some bread

Like Picasa and bread sticks and stuff for the table as well as some avocado dip butter and Ranch you can see which one we went for but our appetizers have arrived and mine looks scrumptious it’s a pumpkin seed salad and also has pistachios and like a balsamic glaze on

It and fresh Ms and I went with the creamy tusin shrimp soup it’s like a tomato soup with shrimp in it I don’t know if there’s like full oh yeah there we go Pasta Pasta it’s past night and I got Papa Deli and it looks delicious it

Has like an aago like white cheese sauce and it looks really good and I got the carbonara which I’ve never seen it served with this noodle style but they did throw the egg on top which is always appreciated oh no there’s a Christmas tree that’s not lit yet Christmas Magic
