  1. It's probably the chemicals that's making them puff up because the other noodles that are healthier did not puff up….

  2. Sodium bicarbonate is baking soda. It's added to wheat flour with salt to make the dough rise. I used to enjoy the cinnamon twists from Taco Bell in the 1980s & 90s, before I stopped eating there because the "products" started making me sick.

  3. Guys a big part of it is the fact that he's using durum wheat. It's a totally different kind of wheat and plant. The Mexican ones are just "regular" processed wheat flour in bread. That's why they're not puffing up

  7. Sodium bicarbonate is baking soda. Its a leavener. So it'll puff that stuff right up…the wheat doesn’t have that property.
