With the Six Nations around the corner, the lads are fired up as squads drop across the board, bringing big calls, big omissions, and some surprise bolters. We dig into every nationโs squad, from France leaving out some absolute superstars, to Englandโs depth options, Irelandโs late changes and injury worries, Walesโ omissions, a settled Scotland, and Italyโs hopes despite a mounting injury list. Weโre also joined by Englandโs rugby chef Tom Kirby for a brilliant chat on elite nutrition, monster appetites, and what players at every level should actually be eating. Throw in some Prem and URC chat, punch-ups, plenty of other news, live show news in Dublin, rumours, and itโs a packed episode as the countdown to the Six Nations really begins.

bring on the 6n – let the bs and sledging begin. Worried about the Scots – hell no. But, yes, rRound 2 is the worry … AND could we hear from Bigs on why Lee Blackett has made such a difference to England (and Bath where an incredible backline has become very ordinary) … and please explain how when Saints are on song, they break defences down, so easily, seemingly.
Hope the ref dont win the game for England against Scotland like last year. that ref got dropped for the rest of the tournament.
Biggar was so irritating as a player but what a superb pundit.
Ireland are cooked. Was a pleasure watching the Boks choose to batter them rather than put more points on the board.
Andrew "teenage diet" Goode
Scotland have some world class players – but the coach doesnโt match. Wonโt get to that next level with Townsend
Dupont not been too good?? Looks pretty good to meโฆ
Scotland will probably do Scotland things and lose to Italy and Wales, and beat England and France. Townsendโs gone by April.
Ireland are being underbid. I fancy they will start slowly in France but win their 3 home games and take England out.
France will pip Ireland on bonus points.
England may run into three tricky fixtures, especially as two are away, in Scotland, Ireland and France and could well lose all three.
France – Champions but no GS.
Ireland – TC
Scotland- CC
Great show gents
โSix Nations the greatest competition in world rugbyโ. I guess you could be forgiven for making that fanciful statement when you havenโt won a world cup for 24 years ๐
Big Jim on RTE!
Scotland, Wales away. Its a trap.
Irish fan, in a pessimistic mood. Since the last World Cup, our scrum, lineout and general back play have gone backwards. Andrew Goodman was an appalling replacement for Mike Catt as backs coach, having single-handedly ruined Lancaster's Leinster attack, but no-one's talking about it. For the first time in the professional era, we don't have an elite-level #10. We've been relying on JGP, Lowe, and Aki for so long for creativity and physical power on attack – they're all in or approaching their mid-30s, with no obvious replacements. Furlong, Beirne, Conan, JVDF, Ringrose, and Henshaw are all noticeably less powerful and impactful than they were, but there are no obvious long-term replacements of similar quality or potential. We're missing creativity and stability in the back three without Hansen and Keenan. This'll be a tough watch, I fear. It's a great chance for Edogbo and Baloucoune, but they may be the only positives to come from it!
If Ireland didnโt have Gibsonpark, they could be fighting Wales for the wooden spoon
im leicester born and bred… how has cam henderson not been picked for Scotland. He is incredible every game and i hope he stays with Tigers for a long time!
100k! Congrats lads
France has realized what the UK teams haven't: the RWC is far more important and new players must develop. Ireland overplays its top players so are worn out early.
Dan Biggar has such an excellent rugby brain
Get off with the ManU shirt Biggs! Great to have the new year 6 nations. Signals the end of winter always for me.
Has penaud got an irish great grandmother by any chance asking for a friend andy f
