Is this the best Italian restaurant in Louisville? Grassa Gramma is located off Brownsboro road and is a sister restaurant to both Le Moo and the village anchor. They serve red wine on the house if you want it and we started with the meatballs and polenta. Meatballs here were mid, but the polenta was hittin some high notes. Dinner was a mix between cacaio e pepe, carbonara, and a chicken frances. The carbonara here is the best I’ve had in Louisville – please direct me elsewhere if you know better. Everything has so much flavor, like legit some of the better green beans I’ve ever tried – parmasaen melted on the asparagas OOH lemme stop myself. I can see people thinking it’s gimmicky, but honestly I think all the decor is super well done and high quality. The men in a fountain for a pete’s sake. Now it was my dad’s birthday so my mom ordered the entire dang dessert menu – God bless ya mama. This tirimisu was sweet talkin me, but when I tell you this limoncello spongecake was special. Early favorite for best dessert of 2026. I always love coming here – honestly only complaint is to get rid of the bright lights they added to the main dining area. But they have 1/2 off entrees tuesday-thursday through january so if you wanna try pop in. #kentuckyfood #louisvillefood #foodie #louisvillefoodie #grassagramma
