five restaurants to check out in Venice hi everyone I am Noreen from where to now and after eating all over Venice here are my five top picks now this is going to include everything from street food to fine dining so here are my top five picks we are having lunch at Meryl Streep’s favorite restaurant in Venice what made me reserve a table at this restaurant was the fact that the chef goes to the fish market every morning and gets the best quality seafood and ingredients to create the menu for the day so the menu changes daily depending on the Catch of the Day we decided to go all out here and have a proper Italian four course meal for starters we had the steamed spider crab and the red tuna tartare of both the dishes my favorite was the tuna tartare it was so fresh and the sauces complemented the dish so well I am normally not a sauce person but it just it went so well and it was in such a small portion that it was just dipping it slightly the tuna into the sauce and it was just delicious for our first course we had the swordfish and lime ravioli along with the potato with calamari they were both great dishes the nochetti was tender yet spongy and the calamari had a light cinnamon bite adding a pleasant Aroma and kick to the dish [Music] for our main course we shared the mixed grilled fish platter for two now this dish was very light and simple looking back though I feel like next time if we do go again I would instead of getting just the grilled fish I would probably try something else from the menu because you can just make real fish at home honestly like you just like I guess the quality is different because it’s very fresh but I don’t know I kind of wish we tried something else it was still delicious especially if you add lemon but it was just a simple grilled fish I kind of wish there was something more to our platter and we finished up sharing at pistachio flower cake for dessert which was out of this world delicious I think that was one of the best desserts we had in Italy definitely get it if you go that was just so delicious especially with the the ice cream on top I definitely recommend that if you so one of our favorite chicken and wine spot in Venice is vino Vero chicatis are small bites that are usually complementary with every drink you buy we wanted to try as many as possible and purchased a handful ranging from vegetarian Seafood and Meat options Vino Vero has a fantastic wine selection and it’s the perfect spot to grab a table next to the canal and unwind we loved the novero so much we kept coming several times for a little shiketi and wine I love this area in general it has a very local upbeat feel and it was where we spent most of our time hanging out past 5 PM The Nightlife is laid back yet happening here it’s a great location to catch an epic Sunset sitting on a bridge King spot in Venice was Frito in I kid you not guys we went there about about four times in 48 hours that’s how much we loved this spot I know Italy is all about wine but try the local beer as well it complements the fresh fried seafood so well we tried everything on the menu here it was that good [Music] [Music] or she get these this time we decided to visit oficina or mercine and try a few options this is another favorite spot of ours to sit by the canal or indoors if it’s too hot and enjoy an amazing assortment of chickettis with an incredible selection of wines we’re taking evaporetto to the Venetian island of Burano for our number one pick thank you [Music] Burano is a fishing Village that became popular due to its colorful houses so whether you’re there to photograph this beautiful island or to eat the Fantastic food purano is a day trip to add to your bucket list one of the main reasons I was so eager to visit Burano was to explore the culinary scene and dine at the Michelin star restaurant alcatonero I had read so many great things about this restaurant and if you’ve been following me for a while you know I am always on the lookout for great foodie destinations the service here is impeccable you guys you need to make a reservation ahead of time to visit this restaurant and I highly recommend requesting a table by the Lagoon it makes the entire experience even more magical they start you out by greeting you with a glass of Prosecco which is a nice touch we had been walking for a while around Burano so it was the perfect little pick-me-up we needed then we opted for a local white wine by the glass since we were having Seafood I highly recommend getting a glass or bottle of the Laguna wine it was such a lovely wine it was crisp and floral and it paired excellently with all the dishes we ate as an appetizer we got an assortment of raw seafood fresh from the Lagoon and I have to say I still remember those oysters they were so good I wanted to order a dozen for myself alone [Music] [Music] for our main course we ordered the signature dish from this restaurant which is and when I tell you this is the best risotto I’ve ever had I am not exaggerating is a typical risotto from Murano that’s cooked in a vegetable and gyozi fish stock that’s what makes this dish so unique the Lagoon fish is so flavorful making the broth of the risotto robust and despite not seeing the fish on your dish you can taste it with every bite you take this was hands down one of my favorite meals on my three weeks backpacking Italy after our risotto we were too full for dessert but they brought us some cookies anyways which was another nice touch alcatonero has excellent attention to detail a vibrant atmosphere and mouth-watering comfort food your Italian grandma would make if you had an Italian grandma and after our Feast it was time to head back to Venice and enjoy the nightlife before heading to Milan foreign if you enjoyed this video please like And subscribe
