Being our first time EVER in Italy and even Europe, we wanted to make sure we saw and did as much as possible! After months of research and planning, we (Ashley mostly) compiled and mapped out the most efficient ways to see and experience the ancient city of Rome.

Hello travelers! We are Brian and Ashley and we LOVE traveling! We are just a married couple who spends as much time as can traveling and exploring this beautiful world while also working full time jobs. We are able to do this with precise budgeting and planning skills in order to get the most out of our travels. We are here to share these tips and tricks with you. Not all of our videos are educational. Sometimes we just vlog where we go and what we do to help motivate others to travel. Traveling doesn’t have to be hard or expensive if you do it right.
So come along with us as we travel by land, air and sea to wherever we can. I try to post videos weekly here along with pictures on instagram and Facebook. Come join our little community of other travelers and other folks who just like to enjoy the scenery.

There’s still a part of me that can’t believe I’m doing this I’m here in Rome in front of the Coliseum also this video will be different than others it’s just going to be a lot of cool facts and some shots enjoy the video and we’ll see you tonight we chose this Airbnb for its location specifically and boy were we excited we were not disappointed so we have arrived here at our beautiful
Airbnb here in pza De Ronda and you have got to check this place Out so one of the first things we wanted to do when we got here tonight was take a a bus tour around Rome at night and thanks to Zig bus Rome I can do that at night we did book this tour a few weeks in advance specifically on the night we
Arrived gave us the opportunity to get an idea of the City layout and where certain sites were in relation to other things we wanted to see or do plus the benefit of seeing the cool stuff in Rome at night all lit up and Pretty Wrapping up our first night here in Rome and right next to our airbn of course is the pantheon and we were just hanging out here because all the Crowds Are Gone and as you can see this is about the only way you can really appreciate the size
Of it because there’s no crowds look at those people look how small they are next to that door but anyway we’re going to go the Airbnb relax and we’re going to have a fun full day tomorrow good morning on our first day walking around in Rome we have quite the
Day lined up now we are on our way to go get some breakfast and we’ve got a really really good day ahead of us the owner of our Airbnb also owns this cafe around the corner and she invited us down for breakfast and now it’s time to
Hop on our first of many Metro rides across town to the appion way one of the things we’re going to be doing today is we’re going to be riding bikes down the aium way which is the oldest Road in Rome I’m going to take it we’re going to
Take you for a little ride let’s Go Fore Speee We did our bike ride and then we took the bus down to the circus Maximus which as you see behind me and now we’re going to go check out some basilicas and try to get some lunch so yeah day one in Rome is going Wonderful after our exciting morning we decideed to head back to the Airbnb and check out the Pantheon so here are some fun facts about the famous Pantheon that was originally built for the Roman gods around 25 BC after it was destroyed by fire and rebuilt several times the current Pantheon was completed sometime around 126 ad it was converted to a Christian Church in 609 and is the best
Preserved building from ancient Rome due to its impressive construction the Dome itself is an amazing 142 ft in diameter making it the single largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world Brian got his first canoli in Italy so I ate a bunch of canoli in Boston I love them all let’s see how they
DOA R 6 it barely fits in the container bite pretty sweet all right so Ashley and I split we’re going to go divide and conquer some of this section save some time and now I need to walk up these steps behind me so I can get a
View of that as you can see I am over here next to the Coliseum uh Brian and I split up for just a second I came one way to get pictures he went the other way we tried to get tickets to the Coliseum and the Roman Forum um
But apparently if you don’t get those when they release 30 days in you either have to pay some to or company absorbing at prices or not go so really with the colosium we were more interested in seeing it from the outside the iconic structure it’s enormous it’s beautiful it’s everything I’d hope for
This unmistakenly famous Amphitheater is over 19900 years old in its peak it could sit 30 to 50,000 Spectators who were there to watch a variety of events from dramatic story reenactments to fullon Gladiator battles it could also be flooded to reenact navy battles we’ve made it to pza De
Petro which is supposedly where Peter’s chains are kept and we’re going to go inside and take a look don’t let the outside fool you the Basilica of San petro and violi is definitely a stop to see with its beautiful ceiling mosaics this Basilica holds Michelangelo’s Moses statue and St Peter’s chains definitely
A do not miss so after leaving the Coliseum we went where Google told us to go and Google was wrong so now we ended up in the suburbs of Rome went to the very end of the line but now we get to see where all the people live and spend some time
On the bus after our nice long bus ride through the suburbs and getting back on the bus and going back into the touristy part of Rome we ended back here at the Santa Maria majori Basilica I’ll put that up here anyway actually went inside to get some stuff on the inside I think we’re about to get rained on so we are definitely going to head back to the room now in case you didn’t know a lot of places in Italy do not have free public restrooms so since we were looking for dinner anyway we decided to check out a
Rome McDonald’s it would be our first time eating at a Italian McDonald’s plus we had to use the restroom so this was a great opportunity to try that out an actual Cafe we just had to try the different menu options that McDonald’s there has
That we don’t and I really had to try a McDonald’s beer yes and a beer and McDonald’s have to be 18 to drink McDonald’s beer it’s actually really good beer too here’s a chicken sandwich with a caesar dressing find out it smells good that is definitely McDonald’s quality worldwide
There like a dollar menu item it looks like an impanata and I’m pretty sure it’s stuffed with a and cheese like a little tiny scrm boli basically it’s actually kind of good and now we’re going to head back to the room we’ve got a busy day ahead of
