Charming, well-built and timeless are the characteristics we would like to attribute to this beautiful set of Italian dining chairs. It is a set that relates well to other pieces of furniture and objects in a variety of interiors, adding a warmth and class.
The frame is composed of a set of four legs that are curved cut or gouged on all sides and then finished in a refined way with a small pyramid shape as a detail on the top.
Front, back and side slats are curved at the bottom, giving the chairs a more monumental accent and the slats on the side of the seat are mirrored and show a downward curve or arc.
Calm-looking rosewood, with its light patina, shows a delicate play of subtle drawings and adds dynamism to the chairs. Joints of the individual parts are subtly visible. High-quality socket head screws are recessed into the wood via a brass rivet. Just like an inconspicuous piece of jewelry.
The backrest is at a slight angle so that your back is well supported. It’s upper part is a curved wooden slat with a reed-wrapped wooden slat underneath. The seat appears to float loose between the frame but is anchored at four points and traditionally finished in cane in a typical country pattern.
The condition of this set of chairs is good with obviously signs of use such as minor scratches and discoloration on the frame.”
