Chef Fortunato Leocata:
Chef Fortunato has spent 20 years in the culinary world and has gained experience through exposing himself to a wonderful variety of menus with backgrounds from the authentic Italian cuisine and Italian-Mediterranean dishes. Originally from Catania, Sicily in Italy, he pursued his passion for cooking and entered ‘Istituto Professionale Alberghiero di Stato’ in Giarre and graduated in 1997 with Qualification in Food Science. Before joining GUSTO at the Rotana Hotel, he worked in Dubai at Cucina of the Marriot.Chef Fortunato has served in restaurants across UK and held senior positions in Hotel Cadogan in London and Del Lago Italian Restaurant in Manchester both as a Chef de Partie.
Gusto Italian Restaurant
Perched on the 18th floor, Gusto features authentic Italian cuisine in a cosy setting where you get to enjoy charming views of both Old Dubai and its New skyscrapers. Enjoy the cosy Italian restaurant with a modern trattoria feel, where the menu is presented on an old-school, free-standing black metal menu holder, lit with a single lamp. The half dozen starters and dozen main courses change on a fortnightly basis, depending on the ingredients available to Gusto’s chef.

10th Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit Dubai:
The Italian Cuisine and Wines World Summit, the longest and most prestigious event dedicated to the promotion of the cuisine, wines and the “Made in Italy” agro-food industry, is celebrating the final stage of its tenth anniversary edition roadshow in Dubai.
The numbers of these ten editions of the Summit are impressive, involving over 250 chefs and 120 restaurants and hotels in Hong Kong, Dubai, Beijing and Shanghai, 200 sponsors and partners.
