Five Los Angeles restaurants are about to get a crash course in Italian pairing culture. Starting November 2 and running through November 15, Terra at Eataly, N10 Restaurant, Sogno Toscano, Pasta Sisters and Spina Restaurant will build dishes and drink pairings around premium European deli meats and Roero DOCG wines as part of a new program called Sip and Savor Restaurant Weeks.

The two-week run marks the first Restaurant Weeks event for Sip and Savor, according to EIN Presswire, and it kicks off with an invitation-only opening dinner at Terra – Eataly Los Angeles on November 2. Terra operates as a rooftop restaurant and lounge at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., per Eataly. Across town in Santa Monica, Sogno Toscano will also take part from its location at 1512 Montana Avenue, according to the restaurant’s own site.

Each participating kitchen is being left to its own devices creatively. The report notes that participating chefs will develop their own interpretations and pairings highlighting the European deli meats and Roero wines rather than following a standardized menu. Anyone curious about specifics can check the full restaurant list and special creations once they’re posted at sipsavor.eu/restaurant-week/, per the same report.

Who’s Behind the Push

Sip and Savor isn’t a one-off marketing stunt dreamed up for Los Angeles alone. The program is a three-year campaign run by Consorzio Tutela Roero and Istituto Valorizzazione Salumi Italiani, known as IVSI, and it’s co-funded by the European Union, the Presswire report states. Its stated goal is to promote European wines and deli meats across the US and Canadian markets, and the project was selected among initiatives backing EU agri-food products in those markets for the 2025–2028 period, according to sipsavor.eu.

Alessandro Costa, president of the Consorzio Tutela Roero, framed the restaurant setting as central to the pitch. He said restaurants let consumers discover wine as part of a complete gastronomic experience, per the same report. IVSI president Marella Levoni offered a parallel take on the deli meat side, saying the Restaurant Weeks demonstrate the versatility of salumi and their use in contemporary dishes.

A Bigger North American Rollout

The Los Angeles stop fits into a wider campaign that mixes trade engagement, media relations, consumer education and digital storytelling, according to sipsavor.eu’s own recap of its first year in North America. That same recap states the project is entering its second year and will continue expanding its activities across the continent. The campaign’s communication efforts are aimed at three groups in particular: industry professionals like importers, distributors, sommeliers and chefs; journalists and content creators; and Generation X consumers, per sipsavor.eu.

Sip and Savor’s organizers have also pointed to growth in Italian deli meat exports as evidence of continued interest in high-quality products, according to the same source, though that claim comes from the campaign’s own reporting rather than independent data.

Plenty of Company on LA’s Restaurant Week Calendar

Sip and Savor’s arrival adds to an already crowded restaurant-promotion calendar in Los Angeles. The city’s long-running Dine LA Restaurant Week, produced by LA Tourism, happens twice a year, and its most recent Summer edition ran from August 14 through August 28, featuring more than 400 restaurants across 84 neighborhoods and 26 global cuisines, according to Discover Los Angeles. That program’s lunch and dinner menus ranged from $15 to $65 or more, per the same source.

Sip and Savor’s five-restaurant footprint is far smaller in scale than Dine LA’s citywide sweep, but it carries a narrower, more specific mission: putting European wine and salumi pairings directly in front of diners rather than offering broad prix-fixe deals across hundreds of kitchens. For now, the full menu of what Terra, N10 Restaurant, Sogno Toscano, Pasta Sisters and Spina Restaurant plan to serve remains tied to whatever each kitchen posts to the campaign’s restaurant list in the coming days.
