Self-described as a “hidden gem” based in the Stockbridge area of the Scottish capital, Radicibus has produced traditional Italian dishes using the “best” Scottish produce from organic farms since 2017.

However, a special resolution was made so that the company could be wound up voluntarily, with Kevin Mapstone of BTG appointed as liquidator, as first reported by The Herald.

The bosses behind the Deanhaugh Street-registered restaurant confirmed they had “made the difficult decision” to close Radicibus, but added they were “deeply grateful” to serve customers over the last 10 years.

A statement posted on Radicibus social media said: “After almost 10 years filled with challenges, achievements, laughter, hard work, and unforgettable memories, we feel that the time has come to bring this chapter to an end.

“It has been a truly incredible journey, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to share it with all of you. Over the years, many of our customers have become good friends, and the support, kindness, and encouragement we have received from the community have meant more to us than words can express.”

It added: “We would like to thank every single person who has walked through our doors, celebrated special moments with us, recommended us to friends, or simply stopped by to dine with us. You have all been part of the Radicibus story.”
